Just go to the website of specific alt coin that you want. There would be a link of downloading its QT client.if not,do i have to have a specific wallet to match each coin?how do i generate these addresses for my altcoins? tnx Every coin has a different client and you can generate the address inside it. Only install under virtual box one altcoin, so these altcoin clients cannot steal anything :)
Title: Re: altcoin wallets Post by: punkrock on December 13, 2013, 05:57:36 PM Be careful and check new alt-coin-wallets on Virustotal.com and better put your wallets on a virtual machine or use linux for your wallets.
Never trust in new alt-coins which joined the market days ago. There are many dudes out there who only want your wallet.dat! And with all the blockchains , it's not going to be very pleasant to have more than a few of those running on your computer. Title: Re: altcoin wallets Post by: Harley997 on December 14, 2013, 06:42:40 AM you need a wallet client separate, specific to the coin
you can always use cryptsy for small amounts... Title: Re: altcoin wallets Post by: pand70 on December 14, 2013, 08:12:21 AM You have to download the specific wallet for each altcoin. Be careful though because some of those crap coin wallets have been reported with containing viruses :(
Title: Re: altcoin wallets Post by: fipsminingod on January 18, 2014, 08:34:45 PM i got the big problem that almost every altcoin wallet i download doesnt sync! the worst atm are aliencoin and microcoin because i got huge stocks on the miningpools online and dont feel save leaving it there...
whats the problem with those wallets? does the coin need to get more popular and grow more nodes for me to connect to? doesnt make much sense to me, especially because others seem to be able to sync from the start/launch of a coin. if i cant, this means no solo mining for me ever... :'( is there a trick or something? |
