Title: My BTC-e account has been hacked !!! Post by: exploder123 on December 13, 2013, 07:30:42 PM All my coins disappeared from my account on BTC-e. There was a money hold on my account and in the morning they sent me an message stating that the personal identification had been approved and that it will take them 5 days to release the hold. About 11.20 am GMT which was 6 hours before I got the email I signed into my BTC-e account and saw that all my coins had disappeared. I checked the transaction history and my Bitcoins had been transferred to the following address:
167PVcZthdRZUzvhfHYLPvKjGf7KtvukRo I searched it into block chain and it seems like a normal personal address so I have definitely been hacked. When I searched it into google however it said that its linked to coinbase. Does this mean I should get in contact to coinbase to see if they have the account holder information ?? Also I made a ticket at the BTC-e support desk adn they haven't got back to me in over 2 days!! Can anyone give me any suggestions regarding if I can get my coins back ?? :( Title: Re: My BTC-e account has been hacked !!! Post by: klok on December 13, 2013, 07:53:34 PM Doesn't it say somewhere in BTC-e that they will never email you? It sounds like you got a legit looking phishing email and fell for it. Sorry.

Title: Re: My BTC-e account has been hacked !!! Post by: exploder123 on December 13, 2013, 08:56:41 PM I have received emails regarding the tickets I have sent but I can't recall any others. But yh I must have fell for a dodgy email or something then. They do have 2 factor authentication but I didn't know how to use it. Guess I just have to learn from this mistake. Hope BTC-e can help in someway to prevent it happening to me or others again!
