I don't get it, why is everyone so interested in Dogecoin all of a sudden?
I don't like being left in the dark :/

I'd prefer litecoin myself, but it's just opinion.  There really is no "best coin" as for it's a widely biased topic.

Haven't you got used to it?
How many of those alt coins have already been the best coins just to end up like normal alts after a few weeks.

What happened with JouleCoin today? To answer your question, I feel QRK needs to be promoted ;) Otherwise I appreciate coins such as Dogecoin

the best coin is Sifcoin (SIC).
Coz it is "inflationary".
Almost all other forks are NOT money, but great money sucking vacuum cleaners :)
Guess what will happen with your fiat there ?
Hint: cleaners can break...

Iny my opinion the best coins are the ones who are being worked on for a long term profit and not a quick cash out.

Besides all the polished SHA-2 and scrypt coins out there, there are also interesting projects like bitshares, protoshares, eMunie and NXTcoin. I invested in NXTcoin and I'm planning on investing in eMunie, it's a risky gamble though.
If you want to invest in altcoins then make sure to invest in at least a few promising coins. Lets say you invest in 10 coins, if just one of those coins skyrockets you will still make profit even if all the other coins become worthless (which is very unlikely).

Worldcoin for sure.  Good devs and community.  With Scharmbeck, you will be able to buy WDC with USD providing yet another way to get in to the crypto-world besides from Bitcoin.

When i can write post in other threads?

Not to be a pedant or jerk, but just FYI, for questions utilizing an auxiliary comparable to the word "can" you want to reverse the pronoun with it, i.e. "When can I write posts in other threads" or "When can I write a post in another thread?"

I certified in teaching English a while back, and like to offer little bits of help where I can. :) Of course you could have just been typing fast, but just in case.

Now to answer your question: remember those terms about newbie status and what conditions you have to meet in order to get out of it and post elsewhere? You agreed to them in order even to sign-up and post at all, remember? ;) Hint: "...14..."

well, for a while i thought that globalcoin is the right way to go,
but now i know that you cant go with only 1 coin, if you want to win some, you got to risk some,
i cant go and mine for 1 coin and make around 30-40$ daily, but i prefer to run from one to another and make the 100-200 daily
you need to be fast, constantly watching the market and the charts, analyzing the options taking difficulty of mining and the total hash rate in count etc...

I thought sexcoin would be the best coin, but there are lots of difficulties with the pools. Right now all the pools are down from sexcoin.
Due this the price drops and this could mean the end of sexcoin

No no, any time dogs start talking you don't want to break their confidence with too many corrections. We'll let them get so enmeshed in English first that ceasing to use it is no longer an option, then start correcting them. Sort of like the average person thinking bitcoin is a currency... xD

I'm not worried about doge "English" at all! [twitch] [twitch]

Title: Re: Best Coin?
Post by: uartasic on December 14, 2013, 02:54:58 PM
the next coin is ltc

LTC is silver to BTC gold bullion (perhaps platinum?)

next best coin would be what kind of hardware needed to mine, difficulty, rewards, blocks etc etc

the more  costly hardware required to mine would make the best coin as obtaining it requires high capital investment and utilities.

i say that from a miner's perspective as a miner who pays 10k for rig hardware to mine 100 coins in 1 day will extrapolate that to determine coin value.

crypto rigs and physical gold mines have alot in common its just we see SHA blockchains instead of physical AU bullion.

anyone can make a gold mine out of an ore rich block of land, but how much capital for is required for extraction and time to mine is going to be reflected on coin sale value and profit margin of the miner. then how many miners vs how much coins pulled out etc etc. will have another bearing.

i kind of mixed the analogies but you get the idea...i hope.

I'm all for Dogecoin too. I have about 50,000 right now and I'm still mining. That being said, the difficulty has been rising really fast. It's literally twice what it was yesterday. I'm considering trading half of it into Litecoin (probably 25,000 for 0.165 Litecoin if people are interested) but I think it is still way too early to trade. I could see the value rising fast with the difficulty.

Put your money in bitcoin until you figure out what you want to invest in. That's something everyone not invested in altcoins can agree with  :)
No point in really telling you what to put your money in... I mean, ideally you'd put it in something I'm invested in and increase the value of my investments but... that's not exactly impartial now is it?

Dogecoin may have huge popularity for reasons I don't understand but it'll never be worth much and that's for sure.

Grandcoin seems to be the only coin where it wasn't premined, has a plan for inflation, and is still super fucking cheap.

I believe the next best "alt-coin" might be the primecoin because it has a much lower green impact.

Primecoin doesn't have a coin cap, so it will mine forever.  That doesn't sound good for an investment.

Flame shield on, but there is no best coin. All coins present some pros and cons but are extremely similar in their features/structure/development. They all share the biggest flaws which deter real investors from even being intrested. I would rather talk about the most profitable coin. If you mined Doge when it came out (easily 10M/day solo) you could have made lots of money. So, which coin do you think will spike up next? Applecoin,..?

And check out Lottocoin, pretty sure it will go up real fast.

The new CPU based Memorycoin (2.0) seems pretty solid. I prefer coins that are GPU/ASIC resistant and hopefully "Botnet" resistant too, at least you have a chance to mine some then. Other than that, Quarks have had a decent start and is worth looking into trading wise to earn a bit of cash, it's probably one of the more matured crypto's out there right now.
