Title: how to update SMOS LTCrabbit?
Post by: aznatama on December 14, 2013, 03:49:48 AM
Hi, I'm trying to build an LTC rig which will double as a proxy for my ASICs, and was wondering how I can update LTC rabbit?  it has the old cgminer and old AMD drivers, and I'd like to update it.

The disk image is only 600MB on my 4GB flash drive, but since it's an image write, my 4gb is not only 600gh max.

I have no idea how to use linux, but it seems very slow to me.  I tried copying the AMD linux drivers and it takes about a minute before anything shows up.  Then it says I don't have enough space on the disk.. .T_T

Next I tried to update cgminer, which is c.3.2.1 in the LTCRabbit build, but I wanted to use cgminer 3.8.... no idea how to do it.  downloaded the lhz file, and linux has no idea how to open it...

I am also trying to build bfgminer in it as well, but I keep getting HASH_ITER error when I ./config

Also, is there a way to remote desktop into ltc rabbit?? or only ssh?

I'm a linux noob, sorry.

Thanks

Download SMOS-Linux 1.2 from www.smos-linux.org its lastest drivers. :)
