Title: Be aware guys | scam alert
Post by: pkmoney on May 10, 2018, 09:23:54 AM
Today I searched on google with one of my friend's id in bitcointalk. Usually I use this method to find someone. When I clicked on the link it asked me to log in again while I was logged in.
So, I looked at the url and it was bitcointalk.to NOT bitcointalk.org
Be alert guys, specially when you are coming in this forum from google search and make sure the url is bitcointalk.org
Otherwise, you will lose access of your id.
Thanks.

You can't really get phised into putting your username and password there because the captcha is not working in the login page. But yeah, this website is not owned by theymos or any staff member.

It's only useful to see a few already deleted posts that may be available there.

Always check if the site you are entering is Secure or not refer to the image to understand.

~
What? Both websites (the real Bitcointalk and the fake one) have HTTPS, thus they have the "Secure" symbol. Please delete this before someone sees this Secure symbol in the fake mirror and thinks it's the real website.
