Stepping int the market and starting with the trading would be really bad idea buddy! The trading doesn't come along the way but you have to learn it first and then keep learning more and more ahead. If you want to be successful in that then this is only option you have got.

So to get started I think I will choose HOLD for the people that has just landed in the crypto currency. Believe it or not, HODL would be best shot and it has always been like that only. Why go other way round and make it unprofitable if you can wait and earn twice you loose in day trade!  ;)

I personally prefer long-term holding to day trading, maybe because of my bad experience with day trading,  I lost a lot of money in it.  Day trading is complex and u can lose ur money faster.
I prefer long-term holding because of the high ROI it offers.

For those who are new to cryptocurrency trading, what would be the best advice to maximize profits: day trading or hodling?

If you have a lot of experience in the trading and you shall do day trading to maximize your profit but if you have known nothing about that and then long-term should become the best choice for you. Remember this is crypto and daytrading will be involved very high risk just like you can lost all of your profit just in some seconds if you are walking at the wrong way and not secure your profit.

its actually depend on the market situation. my long-term hold can be a day trade if I see the market volatile. sometimes I will sell my long-term holdings when I see the market will go to bear runs and buyback again later.

If you do not have the experience and knowledge to trade, I recommend you to hold. After you have more confidence then practice trading with less capital then increase if good.

Day trading is little risk so long term holding is the best way to protect our investment. But many peoples are looking to quick profit so I don't suggest to both day trading and holding because we must gain some knowledge in Crypto platform then only it will supporting to our journey.

For newbies, I recommend that you use 80% for long-term investments (hodling). The remaining 20% or day trading, which can help you earn a profit every day but it can also make you lose money every day. So choose breeding if you are afraid of losing money.

Don't overdo it, you know, long-term holding is the best way to do it.
I've seen a lot of people who have been in the long term make a lot of money, but I don't see the people who do it very often make a lot of money.

I personally think holding cryptocurrency is the best option for me than day trading because holding does not require extra efforts. If you can be patience to wait for a certain period of time before selling your coin it might be very profitable.  Day trading requires some skills which are not too easy to learn in a short run.

I think if you just know crypto better hold a coin or investment, do not trade before understanding crypto, because you could lose your money.

Long terms holding needs experience for making profits. You need to know that the coin will be higher price after a certain period while day trading doesn't require experiences. You just need to buy and sell just after get a little profit. Newbies in cryptocurrency should go for day trading while they can hold BTC, ETH, LTC for long-term purpose.

For people who have just entered the encrypted market, it is necessary to know more about the community and the news of the industry every day. Try not to go to exchange trading as often as possible. The first ten coins in the investment market are what you have to consider, and buy it in your wallet and forget it.

I'm just speaking from personal experience, so it might be that you could have a different experience.
I definitely prefer to invest over the long term as opposed to day trading. I just think it carries less risk and allows me to diversify in a pretty safe way.

I even go so far as to put some coins into a timelock, just so they can't be spent for a certain amount of time :P

I would do both, but with more of my investments in long-term hodling. More like an 90/10 arrangement, where 90% goes into long-term hodling and 20% day trading. If you have prior experience of trading stocks, it does help.

To quickly learn the ins and outs of trading, you should subscribe to this site, masterthecrypto.com, he trains a lot on trading.

I agree. The risk is high in day trading and shouldn't be done by a newbie only. A big percentage of losing all you have invested if you are not professional enough to do such day trading because timing is very significant here and you only have a short period of time to accumulate. I may advise them to just hodl whatever potentially coins they had, and sell them when the right time comes with higher profits.

Day trading and long term holding are both profitable but it depends on the person itself a day trading is for experts where in they're going to buy a low price coin and sell it when the price increase to 5% or any % you want to sell it but you need a lot of knowledge about this and experience in trading therefore this kind of investment or trading can be profitable for expert traders.

A long term hodling is a simple strategy yet profitable where in they just hodl the coin for a long time and withdraw it afterwards, this can fit for the newbies because of the simple strategy. But remember not because you invest you're going to earn a profit you may either earn profit or lose profit.

I still prefer day trading because the profit earned when calculated more day trading than longterm, but sometimes longterm any one can beat day trading earnings, so I think it depends on each who live it more comfortable which one.

I would advise always adjust your strategy to actual market conditions , mix of short and longer term trades. As I look back I can assume that most successful were trades for longer term, day trading can be sometimes really similar to gambling especially if you are begginer

HODL is the best for noobs as well as for the legends who had been into the crypto since very long time. There is no way trading can be beneficial as it takes lot of time to grasp the perfect market situation and in such time hodl can be amazing selection. Crypto currencies are bound to one thing, and thats going upwards ! If they keep doing that then they will keep you blessing with high ROI's over the time. So my advice will also be to hold and try to be stubborn at the time when market is dipping down. I mean we should not panic sell if we are HODLING it. Thats the thumb rule to the success.

There is no doubt that trading gives you an opportunity to multiply your money. There is only one problem, you have to know how to trade in order to do it. Not all people are made for trading, and I am not one of them. Day trading is much difficult, you have to be in front of your monitor every day.
Holding is much easier, but if your currency will never double or triple its price, you will never make any money.

both of them have pros and cons. in trading, you can make incomes quickly but you can lossing quickly too.
but holding is different. it has a slow and steady rate of passive income. maximize your profit by combining both.

If you want to maximize profits then go to day trading since you will most likely seize every opportunity for income every time the market changes. But it will take tremendous effort and skills and I think it is not a very good method for new to cryptocurrency trading so just focus on holding instead and maximize the profit by buying low and selling high.

If you need a good return you need to do  have long term holding. You cant have good return in day trading infact its too risky to lose your investment. Suppose for example if you invest in some coin which is 10 cent even you invest 100 dollar and get 1000 coins you may get 1000 dollar in return.which is not possible in day trading
This is just a example not all coins reach that way.

maximizing your profit by choose what suits you. if you like risk, you can go trading because you already know the risk.
it can minimal you from loss.
but if you want more safer, just buy and holding the coins is not a bad decision.

if you open the 2016-2017 altcoins charts you will see that holding(long investment - is most profitable). Of course all depends from the market. But many influential people take long-term investment strategy. More profitable and its better for your health - less emotions.

I like most long-term investment and holding. actually day trading is risky for unskilled person. if you hiding for long-term i think it will be wise decision. another thing is that there is no doubt that trading  is big opportunity to make profit if you are a expert in trading otherwise it is not possible to make money by the trading. I want to say that day trading is much difficult and risky.

They require completely different skill sets to be successful at each one. If you are day trading you need to be proficient in technical analyis and reading charts. If you are investing long term you need to be proficient at fundemental analysis. My advice would be to do an assessment of your skills and decide which one you have the most skills in or would be most interested in learning. They also have very different lifestyles attached to them. Day Trading involves large blocks of time when you do nothing else where as investing long term will require that you spend small amounts of time at regular intervals to check on your portfolio.

Of course Day Trading are more profitable than hold in long term, but it's too risky and need more knowledge and more experience. Beside long term holding, maybe I more like Short time investment in ICO. You can making your capital double in short time. But it's same, need more knwoledge and experience to avoid from getting loss.

I think it depends on the market. And If you have a lot of experience in trading and you have to do day trading to maximize your profit but if you do not know anything about it and then the long term should be the best choice for you. But you must remember also if day trading will be a very high risk as you can lose all your profits in just a few seconds. so you should be more careful in trading.

It must be preferable of having a day trading if market are in good trend but if not, it is better if we go into holding. I may say that it only depend on the current situation, of course there is profit both of them but it's getting advantage of having daily profit in doing day trading than of holding.

I will recommend those starting to invest in cryptocurrency trading buy altcoin with had potential to increase into the market place for long term hold.
Then kearn well how trade for the day trading job because day trade is risky to than long term hold. Need to monitor the flow of chart what is the best potentially coin has become profitable in an hour or day.

None is good for cryptocurrency, the mentality should be use it as currency i.e. spend and replace. Long term hodling and day trading don't give any value to the network. With this mentality there won't be cryptocurrency in the future, but cryptoscam.

Do you have any idea about trading? If you know nothing right now better to invest long term and if you still want to become a trader try to study about it while you are holding coins for long term. Don’t rush to make money, take it easy and profit will come to you in the right time just keep on working.

To be expert in TA and FA is a must before someone try to do a daily trade. The key is don't be a greedy person, I was doing daily trade and if I got around 10% from my initial trade amounts and then I just try to go out as fast as possible to avoid the volatility but this will be different if it can be done through the stable currency just like tether. daily trade is so risky for a newbie.

I believe that HODL is the best strategy for newbie. Daily trading is a science. First of all, you need to learn how to do it right, so that you do not lose your money. Therefore, I believe that 70% should be for HODL. 30%- the practice of day trading.

I tend to only use day trading to build up my long term holdings, basically when one of my coins experiences a big jump. If you can catch them when they rapidly move up by a large percentage, it normally makes sense to sell off at least a portion and try and jump back in again when it (normally) drops. If you plan to hold them long term anyway, it doesn't really matter too much if it drops below what you bought in again at, as long as you've increased your overall holding. Regular day trading has a lot more risk involved than that though, I'm still not confident enough to dip in and out that much.

Day trading is not easy to do, where we have to check which one the altcoin have potential to take profit by trade day or short time trade. We have really hard work to know which one is the best altcoin to make trade in short time. But is funny trade where we could take much profit with short time, by the way long trade is more boring for waiting to take the profit but we can got much profit with long trade.

On maximazing the profit, i would go on Hodling. If your a beginner and lacks the knowledge at the moment its better to study trading (while hodling at the same time). This could give a potential for you to learn that what you are hodling's future and also how the market go, while hodling. But if you insist, my advice would take a half of you are hodling and step into the trade study what token you prefer, its factors.
And besides you woudlt know if you woudlnt try.

I think a lot of times, people dismiss the fact that there are very different styles of trading. There isn't really a right or wrong, just different methods. This is true for almost everything regarding trading; some prefer daytrading, others swingstrading, scalping, buy and hodl and so on.

It's also true for your funds allocation and risk management. Do you prefer to trade 10 coins and go for some 2x-5x gains here and there, or do you want to chase the big gainers, by trading 50+ coins, on the hunt for that elusive 100x gain?

However, there is such a thing as taxes, and it may well be that a trade is a taxable event in you jurisdiction, which means, unless you are a trading god, daytrading is probably off the table for that reason alone…

Long term for newbie traders can be so hard when they're not earning quick profit, but I don't trust day trading because sometimes it won't give us good results when you seen the price dip so much. That's right we may be able to gain good experiences from time to time although its hard to control ourselves of not dumping our coins while the price wasn't sure to increase its value.

in my opinion, for a trading day, it is a way to gain profit in the short term. while to hold is a way to gain long-term sustainability.
so for myself prefer to profit in the long run. because at the moment I see trading days still generate small profits. so I do not want to make a small profit.

Long term holding is better. so you can not focus on any aspect of the crytoe. but it's also a day trading because it's good for those who want to earn quick money. Unlike in the long term just wait before sales. :) :) :)

The crypto was making money in the money market and in the years when we went through the daily trade in Altcoins. The depreciation of the crypto parallels this situation in the exact opposite direction. We have no choice but to buy and wait.

I think that it really depends on your abilities. If you know how to trade or if you want to know, then read articles and tips on how to do day-trading. But, if you want to hold for the long-term, then be aware of the market status.

I really want to know how to do day-trading, but my school works doesn't allow me. But, if I have the time, I would learn how to.
