Title: Another late adopter btw miner
Post by: urius on December 14, 2013, 11:45:20 PM
Hi everyone,

I have just discovered this forum and I am overwhelmed with all the information I have found.

I want to start mining bit coins but everybody is saying is too late, money ripoff. Still looking to buy a ASIC hardware for a fair price. Any advice? I do not plan to get rich faster, I like the philosophy of the criptocurrency, and I want to do it by hobby and to experiment. Hoping to learn and have a good time meanwhile.

Thanks in advance.

Oh man don't discourage me  ;) I don't want to lose money but I really like the idea of mining and participate in the btc network. But obviously I don't want to lose my money. I thought the ASIC miner hardware had low consumption, isn't it?

Lol, this comment would be true for GPU mining, but ASICs have small power consuption. The only problem is initial cost and preorder model

Thanks buddy! I am going to go through my idea of mining, at least I will try. In the other hand I have just installed Bitcoin-Qt , and it takes ages to initialise , how much time does it take to sync with the network?  ;D
