Title: GUIminer not working in windows seven, wrong config or change miner?
Post by: zeuzzz on December 15, 2013, 08:00:55 PM
I've been mining really well with my CPU and GPU using GUI type miners like macminer and asteroid, but now I'm booting into windows seven x64 and trying to do the same I'm finding it hard to find one that works ... GUIminer just gives me this error every time:

"2013-12-15 19:53:25: Running command: poclbm.exe sytherz.sytherz:password@stratum+tcp://mine1.coinmine.pl:8332 --device=0 --platform=0 --verbose -r1
2013-12-15 19:53:25: Listener for "Default" started
2013-12-15 19:53:26: Listener for "Default": 15/12/2013 19:53:26,  need more than 1 value to unpack
2013-12-15 19:53:27: Listener for "Default": WARNING: ADL missing (no AMD platform?), temperature control is disabled
2013-12-15 19:53:27: Listener for "Default": At least one server is required
2013-12-15 19:53:27: Listener for "Default": Traceback (most recent call last):
2013-12-15 19:53:27: Listener for "Default": File "Switch.pyo", line 45, in __init__
2013-12-15 19:53:27: Listener for "Default": File "Switch.pyo", line 60, in parse_server
2013-12-15 19:53:27: Listener for "Default": ValueError: need more than 1 value to unpac"

Which I have found other people report on this forum with no real solution ...

Any suggestions to fix the above, or suggestions about other miners for windows 7?

I've entered multipools data all correctly, but all I get is this:

Set the CPU affinity to 1 processor, see if that helps any.

Also, just a suggestion, but have you tried removing the stratum+tcp:// part from the front of the Host field? GUIMiner doesn't seem to work for me unless I do that.
