This is a lesson that has been making me kick myself in the ass several times over the past few weeks...feel free to make fun of me and call me stupid to hammer home the lesson, but please take heed newbs.  Here is a short list of all the coins I sold for pennies and what they could have made me:

Netcoin - Total Holdings = ~720k - Sold most @  0.00010000 XPM for total of 65.46886446 XPM (Currently 0.29 BTC)  If I sold now: 1814.61676900 XPM valued at 8.09 BTC

Android Tokens - Total Holdings = 150,537,312 - Sold between .00000024 XPM and .00000035 XPM for a total of 41.16173197 XPM (Currently 0.18 BTC)  If I sold now: 641.28894912 valued at 2.86 BTC

Redcoin - Total holdings = 136,949 - Sold between 0.00000500 BTC and 0.00000999 BTC for a total of around 1.0271175 BTC   If I sold now:  9.56725714 BTC


Don't worry, I am wallowing in self-hatred  :-\

You should also mention all the coins you mined, successfully sold and which entered finally the coins cemetery.

Well those coins couldve crashed and u would damn yourself for not selling when u had the chance.

My guess is that we will soon have posts like this:

I had x coins worth 28 btc, and the value now is 0.00001 btc. Should have sold.  >:(

FTC goes down since invention.
There are coins that only lost value over time and did not return any profits.

Exactly...they all have high/random block rewards, so I figured they would be fun to mine and I might make a little...never thought RED would be where it's at now, oh well  ::)

And in that case, I did alright...FTC was good to me and my last sale was over 10x the current price  ;D

Dude this is so true.
You will get burned by some, if not many coins, but the ones you do not get burned on will more or less offset that 10x.

I look back earlier this year, how many fastcoins I gave away, easycoins.....junkcoins, royal coins sold next to nothing for thousands of coins each.

I did manage to hold onto one only because there was no exchange from earlier this year. They were MEC.
Needless to say I cashed out for well over 17K... and that was coin I mined on NVIDIA no less.

I know its tempting to dump, maybe that might be wise for a short term gain, but if you hold now and you never know. My hold helped me build my new ATI mining rigs with money left over... now the goal is to make enough to cover cost and ride the wave here and there.

Reminds me of the 500k QRK i once had.

On the plus side...if I can manage to get my 10k PXC from Coins-E, I would be a happy man  ;D

I remember the 80 BTC I sold for $200 that I bought under $20.... :(

imagine what the early adapters feel like. Or those that lost the wallets?

Perhaps in relation to BTC but not in relation to FIAT.

Some people want to have some more coins, they are manipulating the market, prices fall and fall now, but sold .. In my opinion I think an awakening of altcoins expected in 2014 and be trying to buy everything cheaper as better.

I agree, I keep all the coins.
