Pool Details
VARDIFF | Stratum | PPLNS | DDOS Protection

MooPool.com (http://MooPool.com) Has decided to drop all taxes to 0% in every pool!

Custom Platform Projected Launch Date: January 20th

~Planned Feature List~

Referral Program! - Users can earn 1% of their referrals 2% pool tax!
One pool, Many Coins! - Only one account, and one set of workers will be needed to mine any and all of our coins.
Easy Sign In! - Use your MooPool account, or other services to log in.
Full Ticketing System! - For a much easier time keeping track of, and properly responding to all open tickets. No more Gmail nonsense.
Advanced Pool and Worker Statistics - Faster, more accurate pool data.
Easy Start Scripts! Copy and paste the start scripts for each worker to easily start mining.
Increased Security! The additional safety of proprietary pool code, and a passion for cutting edge security.
Mandatory Automatic Payouts! - We are not (currently) a wallet service and do not want the opportunity to lose anybody's coins.
Community Interaction! - Chat with your fellow miners live, or in the forums.
Advanced Admin Features! - To help us efficiently maintain and upgrade our pools.

~Development Update #1~

When we decided to make MooPool.com (http://MooPool.com), we set out determined to create the next best pooling website. As we were developing, we became aware of the prompt need for a second pool to support the new popularity of our favorite coin, CasinoCoin. To help support the coin we opened early with the open source "MPOS" pooling platform. While we were able to fill the need for a time, other MPOS pools have since stepped in to do the same thing (and are doing a great job). Managing this MPOS platform has turned out to be non stop work finding and hotfixing pool breaking bugs, potential security holes, and fending off a myriad of MPOS targeted attacks being developed every day (since it's open source and everybody can see the MPOS code, it makes it a target). While we are absolutely happy to do this, it's holding us back from what we want MooPool to become. As a result:

We have decided to make some policy changes.

In order to help us focus on completing our new platform, we will be reducing support for the MPOS platform to a minimum.

--What this means for you, while using the the MPOS platform--

We will no longer be taking responsibility for users coins. While we will of course protect them as best we can, every user should have automatic payouts setup.
We are not, and do not (currently), want to be an online wallet service.
We will no longer be pursuing minor hotfixes, security advances, and new features in the MPOS platform. If there is a critical failure with the MPOS platform we will likely just reset the pool and keep coding the new one.
If you have a specific concerns regarding how these changes relate to your account please email us at MooPoolMining@gmail.com. We will be handling concerns on a case by case basis.

--What this means for MooPool.com (http://MooPool.com) as a whole.--

These changes will allow us to aggressively pursue our custom mining platform.
This also allows us release a projected completion time of two weeks (January 20th).
We are also able to drop taxes to 0% till the completion of our new platform.
We are excited to finally be able to announce our feature list!

Yay, now maybe the main thread can focus on coin development :)

As for the Casinocoin p2pool I will try to list the public nodes here (in alphabetical order):

http://csc.squiggie.com:19327/
http://csc.xpool.net:8840/
http://us-east1.cryptovein.com:8840

If you would like to start your own node you can find the source here:

https://github.com/CartmanSPC/p2pool

If I have any public nodes missing please send me a PM.

Sick of bad or laggy CASINOCOIN pools?  Want a dedicated solution with quick payments, and an administrator who knows what he's doing?

CSC.DEDICATEDPOOL.COM

- Running mpos/stratum.
- Dedicated server with 256GB RAM, SSD RAID 10 drives, Ubuntu, 1GB dedicated connection
- 2% fees PPLNS (this barely covers server costs but makes sure that this pool will continue to thrive going forward)
- VARDIFF implemented
- No lag, no downtime, 24/7 all the time.
- Backups every 30 minutes of server wallets, server infrastructure, and SQL databases.
- Redundant fail-over server in another part of the world.
- DDoS protection
- Computer engineer administrator (don't settle for less)

We take your mining SERIOUSLY just like you.  I pride myself on making this the best Casino Coin server ever, and will protect your interests and mining going forward.  I have built a proper sustainable model that is fair for all parties.  Pools that charge less than 2% will not cover their costs and when that happens admins make decisions that may not be good for the miners, as we've seen many, many times in the past.

Hope to see you around :)

glc.dedicatedpool.com - global coin
gdc.dedicatedpool.com - grand coin

As the difficulty goes up with popularity it becomes harder to break blocks. Simply put the more popular CSC gets the more hashing power we need to compete break blocks. The pool dipped in strength a bit while SirSavary and I were asleep, but I'm working on a bit of marketing now which should help.

Also I think we found a block 3 hours ago, not 6?

We've decided to hold at 0% till the pool grows and we get some custom features launched. We will also likely be dropping the expected fee down from our initial thought of 5% to something more appropriate.

MooPool.com (http://MooPool.com) - 0% - Help us grow so we can implement sweet new features!

At Mega Mineros we are finding blocks fast!! Take a look at the statistics at https://www.megamineros.com/CSC/index.php?page=statistics&action=blocks (https://www.megamineros.com/CSC/index.php?page=statistics&action=blocks). Also we are the only pool that has its site protected by 128 nit encryption SSL. All the other sites are wide open to hackers trying to steal your credentials. Also we have multiple stratum nodes (comming soon with a node in europe as well) and have had 100% uptime for the last 2 days now. We have Uptime monitoring in place now as well https://www.megamineros.com/CSC/index.php?page=statistics&action=uptime (https://www.megamineros.com/CSC/index.php?page=statistics&action=uptime)

We are doing 25 MHash now but have room for some more!

Ehhh have you been pen testing other pools or something? MooPool.com (http://MooPool.com) is well secured. If you have actual reason to believe other pools are "Wide Open" please let the pool operators know about the vulnerabilities you've found so we can keep the community safe.

There's a new CasinoCoin pool at http://csc.moowh.nl/

It has stratum, VARDIFF, PPLNS, just 1% fee and a block finders reward.

Your site is not encrypted at all, so your users submit there username and password in cleartext when they login. Hackers sniff traffic to known sites of interrest to catch usernames and passwords. If you want to prevent that please add SSL security to your pool!

We now have our node in Europe up and running as well. If you add all three to your cgminer.conf it will act as a failsave over the three nodes available. Place them in the order of nearest vicinity:

Code:

{
   "url" : "stratum+tcp://latinoamerica.megamineros.com:3334",
   "user" : "username.worker1",
   "pass" : "x"

{

So has everyone else noticed a notable drop in the network mining rate? The total network is sitting around 250MH/s now. I know we experienced a large bump due to coinwarz listing CasinoCoin as the most profitable for a while. Is it safe to assume this is CasinoCoin's more natural hash rate?

Yeah, my pool dropped from 150Mh/s to 50Mh/s in the past couple of days. I guess everyone is now mining Dogecoin, which is something that I didn't expect to happen :)

The currency hoppers are back again   :-\ the net hash rate jumped from 200 to 500 and next difficulty will rise from 1.9 to 3. The hoppers will then probabbly leave again. It would be really nice if we could prevent this somehow, otherwise mining casinocoin will never get entirely stable.

New features:
- Vardiff installed, now miner difficulty is matched with CasinoCoin difficulty. Over the last 24 hours our mining speeds have increased!!
- Pool fee lowered to 1%
- Every block finder is awarded with 1 Bonus coin!

HEAD BACK OVER TO Mega Mineros, and try for yourself!! If you have difficulties with your account or settings, contact us via the support contact form or sent and email to: andre.jochems@gmail.com

Remember to add all three stratum servers to your cgminer.conf (also as backup servers to others!):

As a result of our consistent growth at MooPool.com (http://MooPool.com) we have decided to add DogeCoin to the selection! (MooPool.com/Doge/) This coin has gotten very popular and it's our hope that adding it will help bring MooPool some new miners. Thanks to this growth we've also been able to begin developing a custom front-end for the MooPool community with lots of unique features. One of the most exciting features will be the ability to reduce your personal pool tax by referring new members. We will be sure to keep everyone updated as we progress towards the new front-end. In addition, we have decided to raise the CSC pool tax from 0% to 2% to help cover server costs and full time development.

Thanks for mining with MooPool.com (http://MooPool.com)! Spread the word!

Hate to be the one to say it but csc.moowh.nl seems like it's been dead for a while now. Does the owner have plans to market it or should we just remove it from the list?

Looks like there was an attack over at coinarmy today (or recently). I just wanted to re-post his warning here so hopefully other pools will see it. MooPool.com (http://MooPool.com) took steps to improve our security today, but we're still unsure exactly how the hacker managed to fake his shares on coinarmy. Supposedly we will get more information after Christmas. Beef up your security everybody, and stay safe.

http://gyazo.com/f369ba2786bef6e193fca5edc0eb5521.png
I'm the admin at http://csc.hash.so/ and I must say, wow. I wasn't going to say much about coinarmy, but now that they are calling me out I guess I must. My pool has quite a few users, and I'm sure they agree that my pool has had a pretty solid record, no cheating is going on in there.

I have been watching coinarmy every since they had "issues" and ended up stealing 30k CSC or so from their users. (posted about it here (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=258090.msg3982695#msg3982695))

So:
Quote
SECURITY ALERT -----> I have matched records pinning the hacker on another CSC pool. His username is "crypto_8888". He is mining right now on http://csc.hash.so/ -----> .so = somalia AND somalia = 90% FRAUD! Do your research, if you have any rigs on that pool GET THEM OFF NOW! It looks like he is trying to keep his hash legit on that pool, meaning the hacker could be the owner of the pool! WATCH OUT! This pool will be taken down from all listings after Christmas. I have close communication with the creator of CSC! - Jason

I chose the hash.so domain because it was available :) I'm not from Somalia nor do I think 90% of Somalia is a fraud. I haven't heard anything about my pool getting delisted, I think it's just FUD.

I also checked shares submitted by crypto_8888 and they looked pretty legit to me. My pool (and other pools listed in the first post) are performing pretty well, shares estimated versus actual shares are around 107% - 118%. The only one that hasn't been performing well is Coinarmy, and it looks like they have reset the block numbers 3-4 days ago: http://casinocoin.coinarmy.com/index.php?page=statistics&action=blocks

You can look at the other pools and compare the numbers to see which ones are looking weird:

http://csc.hash.so/index.php?page=statistics&action=blocks
http://moopool.com/csc/index.php?page=statistics&action=blocks
http://csc.dedicatedpool.com/index.php?page=statistics&action=blocks
https://www.megamineros.com/CSC/index.php?page=statistics&action=blocks
http://casinocoin.coinarmy.com/index.php?page=statistics&action=blocks

(only the last one :))

Edit: also Coinarmy hasn't reached out to me regarding this incident, which seems rather odd, if they think I might be behind the "hacking" of their pool. Faking shares is only possible if you have access to the backend MySQL DB, I don't think it's possible remotely without access...

I never had any issues with csc.hash.so.  I've always got my payouts and they been around what they should be.  Has been my goto csc pool for the last few weeks.

I switched to csc.hash.so after coinarmy lost me a fair few coins.

The only issue i have with csc.hash.so is the 120 confirmations. Any chance the would be lowered in the future?

My pool has had 60 confirms from the day 1. I'm not exactly sure what would be the benefit of fewer confirmations, 60 confirmations only take about 30 minutes or so. But, ask and thou shall receive. I dropped it to 20 confirmations, is that low enough? :)

As the pool owner of https://www.megamineros.com/CSC (https://www.megamineros.com/CSC) i request all other Pool owners to stop bashing each other. We all had startup issues and problems. I was one of the first CSC pools and my servers crashed when mining went from 5 to 150 MHash in less than 24 hours and i lost most users to the other pools. I learned my lesson and i am happy now running only 15 MHash.

If there really are security issues at this moment all the pool owners should know about that so they can take security measures. Even more, most pushpools these days are using TheSerapher/php-mpos software as their frontent, if there are issues with it we need to know and have them fixed in the software because that would not only affect CSC but the entire mining community!

If hackers get into our network they can take the entire CSC coin down with it! Now its not an issue yet but if CSC is going to be used in online casinos we must need to have a stable coin and mining network because otherwise transactions will not be executed with the speed necessary. Mining is about finding blocks for now, but will transit to living of transaction fees in the future. If casino users will not have their transactions being processed because of mining network issues, it will be the end of CSC very fast and thus our profit as well!

So please lets stand together on this! All mining pool owners should be in contact with each other in case of problems or issues (maybe we should create a mailing list for that, including the coin owners)! I already mentioned it various times in the past that Mega Mineros was the only one that secured its web access with SSL. I got ridiculed for that as well bij others but all other pools should do the same, it will cost you about $100 and a few hours of your time but installing SSL certificates is not that much work but can help a lot in keeping at least your users logins safe! No guarantee but all small things help. If others now of steps that will improve security i would like to know as well!

The chain is as strong as the weakest link! That counts for both security measures as the entire CSC mining network and difficulty as well. We need to stand together if we want to make this a success.

Kind Regards,
Andre

PS: I also crossposted this on the main CSC forum, sorry for that but i felt this needed more attention

I helped develop a new professionally-hosted P2Pool for Casinocoin, equipped with tutorials for those who are new.

Stratum URL : stratum+tcp://bigcryptopool.com:8840

We have a very low 1% fee and employ PPLNS to make sure loyal miners get all of their fair share.

Mine with us at http://bigcryptopool.com to start earning coins!

I agree completely. I think it would really benefit CSC as a whole if we set something up where the CSC pool operators could talk to each-other privately and in confidence putting our competition aside. It could really help us all out if we have a place to openly(open to pool operators only of course) help each-other with security issues and platform bugs.

On a side note MooPool.com is pursuing an ssl certificate as soon as we get a chance. We've also added a ton of back-end security.

All Casinocoin P2Pool operators should update to the latest version at https://github.com/CartmanSPC/p2pool

SHARE_PERIOD was lowered from 15 to 5 and TARGET_LOOKBEHIND from 200 to 60

The lower share period should allow more shares to be available to miners. The lower target lookbehind should allow the pool to adjust difficulty based on hash rate faster.

gururise and Rav3nPL worked on the new settings to better optimize the pool...Thanks goes out to them!

-----------------
Just as a reminder P2Pool is decentralized so if one node gets taken down the rest are not affected. There are no accounts or coins stored by the pool. No confirmations to wait for....your coins are sent to you as soon as a block is found. Every block found is simultaneously announced across all the wallets in the P2Pool so there are less orphans encountered.

The source code is freely available for you to start your own P2Pool node that you can keep private for your personal mining needs. You wont need to trust any pool operators or their ability to keep the pool running.

I believe P2Pool is beneficial to maintain the security of the blockchain.

LOL, those were merged by request (BBQCoin, franko, Dodgecoin). They were not written by me so use at your own risk ;)
I suppose I should only have the coins I wrote/confirmed be included?

As a bonus for miners I added a nice graphic to the graph...looks beautiful if you ask me:

Quick update, it seems the list needs a bit of updating.

Coinarmy has closed to the pubic due to repeated hacks, and should probably be removed from the list.

http://gyazo.com/dd48f2f510545bae3a5f0044fcae6de5.png

Moowh has still remained empty, and I haven't personally seen much news from the pool owner. I'm not sure if it's being maintained or not. I think his focus has shifted to other coins. I don't know if this is cause for removal from the list, but we should probably discuss it. Would be good to hear from the pool owner.

Just as a reminder P2Pool is decentralized so if one node gets taken down the rest are not affected. There are no accounts or coins stored by the pool. I do really like the idea of p2pool pools, the only issue I have with them is that in my experience smaller miners do not get paid anything. I do realize this may have just been from when the p2pool was overloaded and needed more nodes, but it may be worth running some tests to make sure everyone including small miners gets their fair coin now. (I did get plenty of coin from you pool as a small miner before it got overloaded.) Really not trying to bash on your pool here I mean no offense, you've always done a solid and respectable job, and I think p2pools are a necessity as the mpos architecture sometimes blows up. Just might be something to dig into and research a bit to further stabilize the CSC mining community. Would make me more comfortable with MooPool knowing that if all of MPOS goes down the p2pool nodes can handle the load. Keep up the good work, glad you're a part of the CSC mining community. :)

Thanks murderouskirk! It is a thankless job but just a little appreciation goes a long way :)

The Casinocoin p2pool specs were recently changed (thanks gururise and Rav3nPL) and I think the changes will help smaller miners. There are a few drawbacks to p2pool and being a smaller miner on a node with larger miners is one of them.

Before the Casinocoin p2pool was giving out shares every 15 seconds. This has been reduced to 5 seconds. This 3 fold increase in shares I believe may help more miners get shares more often. In other words, there is now 3x the chance that you get a share for payment. Once you do get a share we have the p2pool set to keep paying you for the next 60 blocks even if you don't get any more shares during that time.

Also, the amount of time for the p2pool to determine the share difficulty has been reduced from 200 to 60 shares. In theory this is suppose to allow the pool to adjust the share difficulty faster. I am not familiar with this setting so I am relying on other experience with this.

Please provide feedback as we are willing to keep changing the specs to best support the coin. I personally would like to see the DOA rate decreased.

P2Pools are difficult for miners. The mining console does not look as nice with the constant request for restarts. I understand that a lot of miners like non-p2pool's because of the ease of mining and web interface...have been thinking about opening up some other types of pools but it is nice not having any responsibility for people's coins or concerns about accounts being hacked. Also, although I hear it is better these days...push pools are known to be unreliable to operate.

Glad to hear you're making progress with P2Pools! We've got a lot in store for our custom push pool and we're hoping to make it a lot more reliable than the current standard. While the open source MPOS platform is nice, it seems to require some hotfixes right out of the gate. Fortunately we've been able to catch and fix most of these before they caused any kind of a problem. Definitely keeps us on our toes though. Will be nice to have our own reliable platform to work with. Any advances is pool operations currently mining CasinoCoin would definitely help out the coin as a whole. Glad to hear advancements are being made all around.

Lowering the fee of http://csc.xpool.net:8840 to 1%.

Limiting the number of miners to 200. If the node approaches 200 miners I will open additional nodes to accommodate.

Updated our website, transaction fees are now 0.01 coin to cover the network cost, and payout confirmations are much faster! Also the mail servers are working so as part of our security measures future accounts will need email verification for actions for your safety.

Pool difficulty drops in 20 minutes, so sign up and get your CSC now!

We've heard it from the devs themselves, Hash.so is using too much of the network all in one place!

Swap your mining pool now to help secure the network, mine at  www.zenproductions.org/csc (http://www.zenproductions.org/csc), the CASINOCOIN SLASHERS, no block is too hard!

Thanks for your reply but I am using Hashra Controlla with my Gridseeds and am new to using them.  Can this be done using the Hashra Controlla or would I have to use CGminer?

You can setup everything in the hashra controlla no problem!
