If you're a watch lover you want to own a Marathon as a part of your collection. I have a couple of them and they're great. They include cool features like radioactive tritium embedded in the hands and dials. They have been making them for the US and Canadian military for a long time. They are a good starter watch for a collector because of the price and quality. I've been collecting watches for about 30 years and the one that I wear the most is my omega speedmaster professional 007.

To me, it's like men's jewelry that does something more than just hang there. I like automatics because of their history and precision considering they are fully mechanical. Also because my watch will still work when the EMPs drop. lol

Well, having no watch makes you have no style, not that a cheap timex will give you style but lets be serious here, how many times have you been out with friends, cruising around town in the phantom or bentley watchleess, I for one never have and I LOOOOVE my collection.

Why don't you post some of them so I can aspire to become cool stylish and fly.

This was my great grandfathers watch. The story I was told was my great grandmother bought it for him in the 1930s. After he returned from the First World War he refused to buy himself anything extravagant. Instead he spent every penny building their house and providing for them and their children. It's been cleaned by a jeweler every 5 years for 82 years and works flawlessly. Four generations of men in my family have worn this for at least 15 years each. My son will be wearing it soon.

Man the new Co-axial series is off the chain, I'm not a huge Omega fan, although I do own a few.

Can it tell the time? Where are the hands? lol. Would look better without the Skyfall logo and all the other writing.

This is what really matters, when it tells a story, brings back memories. I love old cars, watches, jewelry.

Agreed, I hope none of my primogeniture ever decides they like money more than history. I'd like this watch to be in my family forever.

I am too poor to afford watch... Too much of a  luxury for me.

This would be too much for me, If my watch ever costed more than my car I'd feel awkward wearing it. I'd just be too worried someone might steal it or something and also feel a bit like a snob.

i love omega fossil and Casio i have a collection of every color in casio g-shock as well :) have one omega as its a bit expensive :)

Yes they are expensive for the original purchaser but an Omega will last for generations, a plastic Casio won't. Cheap watches definitely have a purpose. You don't want to wear a pricy watch to garden or work on the car.
