hi im adam im newbie to this forum and bitcoin lol. iv been trying to get on to the silk road but it says the site is down, it says on the page to discuss on the bitcoin forum but when i try to follow the link it says an error has occurred. can some one please help me out with some info. thanks in advance. ???

Bummer, i thought that was the whole point. We didn't need to hide the community could grow resulting in large amount of feedback on the sellers offering us a security
on our purchases. If it's always small like i suspect it might be by the above post then it will never gain that critical mass to weed out the scams.

A few months back they said that they have more than enough customers to go underground. Some version of SR may still be operating on a VPN somewhere? If they are good, they will be almost impossible to find.

I downloaded tor and still can't get to the site. It says it's down but at the top left corner it says this is not the silk road but u are close... Can someone please help me out

That's right, nothing wrong with SR, just left there, they still have the most intresting content on the net.
 If you can't get there then I would think you don't belong there. It's not for the faint of heart. Bikerbum
