In our Pool's every time small amounts 'cause we don't take PoolFee and from the donation we pay the block finder a bonus. This means in our payment queue all users with payed donation will be the first, if there is something to pay. It's FairPlay. The best way is to put some amount to auto-payout the pool will organise when it's time to pay. We believe in FairPlay and workers get the maximum payout.
