Title: Can I print a wallet file in notepad as a backup?
Post by: TheJacob on December 16, 2013, 07:36:43 PM
If I print the wallet text(encrypted) will I be able to unencrypt it and recover the wallet that way if I need to?

Or do I need to get another program to make a paper backup?

Yes, you can print a .key file (Tools -> Export Private Keys).

If you want to restore the keys, re-type it (or scan/OCR it) and use Tools -> Import Private Keys. Take care never to store your keys only in one place (i.e. print twice and keep one in your flat and one at work or at a friend's you trust).
