Hi guys, please share your opinion on best exchange,which can I use for long-term investment. Recently, Coinsecure,a INDIAN exchange has been hacked.So I am very much afraid about my investment.I am using right now BINANCE exchange.Is it safe for keeping my investment for 1 year.

Which one do you suggest?

Keepin your coin on the exchanges is a really bad behavior, it is not recommended. You should put your coin in your own wallet, instead of keeping it on the exchanges. The problem of storing coins on exchanges is we don't own the private keys of the coins, because of that we can safely say we don't really own the coin.

You are better of buying a ledger nano S if you are holding a lot of altcoins(worth 1000$ above). If not, I recommend you scatter your coins into well known exchanges today if you really want to hold your coins in an exchange(and if you hold many varieties of altcoins atm). If you are holding only a few altcoins, I recommend you follow vv181's suggestion.

if you plan to keep your coins or investment funds in the long term you should not keep them in exchange and better keep them in your personal wallet, and it would be great if you use an offline wallet.

totally agree with you especially since there have been a lot of incidents involving exchanges. What's worse is that you aren't insured at all.. So, better to keep your holdings in your wallet instead.

I've seen many people keep their investment in known exchanges like Binance or KuCoin, etc. However, it is not recommended at all and won't recommend that, with few steps you can have your own wallet like (Myetherwallet) and if you're not sure how, I'd recommend watching this video:

I think we will all  agree on Binance and Bittrex . There is more trusted exchanges out there 2 but I think those come on top . You have Kucoin really good one too , But all the fun lately is located at Binance and Bittrex with Binance at top with decent gape from Bittrex .

Bittrex and Binance are indeed trusted exchanges, but I would also add coinbase and kraken. Both are online since a long time and can be trusted. Till date I have had no real problems with either coinbase or kraken.

Regardless how trustable and experienced exchanges out there (Kucoin, Binance and etc), you should use an exchange for its main purpose, which is trading. If you want to keep/store your money/coin/token for an investment, a hardware wallet or paper wallet is the one you should chooose. By this decision, you will erase the risk of hacked wallet, problem with exchange and so on.

Don't put your token in exchange or exchange as your wallet because theres possible that your funds will disappear. All of exchanger is best it depends to the token that you want to invest to long term.

But how are you willing to invest in an exchange?

1- If you mean investing in a crypto made an exchange then there is no best than binance which has a good rate as an exchange and a valorised coin used for interacting with the platform in low cost. (bnb)
2- If you mean looking for the best exchange to make trades or to purchase any tradebale token then it's better to use decentralized exchanges like etherdelta or waves platform where there is no need to do KYC verification and no orders limits.

If you want to best exchange it depends on your coin. So you must buy you convince exchanges then store your wallet. Because exchanging site is not safe in long term investment if you are beginner in trading platform you must gain some knowledge in block chain and Crypto platform then only you will understand the right way.

No exchange into this current market would really be considered as safe.As you can see about hacked exchanges each one do exist do really have the tendency to hit up such similar situation too.They arent safe or guaranteed to be immune on such hack thats why its been suggested and been advised for countless times that dont ever store up amounts on exchangers that you cant afford to lose.If you do active trade then better just store up not on bulks.

No one is safe on any of the exchanges. You just have to take risk and try to trust those exchanges. But for the record, I am currently using 5 exchanges for my tradings.

Why would you do that if you keep it for a year?

Worse decision ever. Does your token dont have their own wallet website or something like a program?
If it is under Ethereum then you could just use Myetherwallet or metamask.
There is no need to keep it in a trading site if you are not trading as well.

It is not a good idea to keep your coins in exchanges. For long term hold, it is better to use a wallet that belong to you. That is a wallet which you control the private keys.

No way that was very risky to keep you investments in any trading platform it may lose all your investments and you wont take it anymore. The best way to keep your investments is to buy and hold it in your own wallet that you are the one who also handling the private keys and keep it safe.

There is no best exchange now, I can't call one of the centralized exchanges as the best exchange since they lack security due to centralization. Ddex is good exchange for me.

What kind of investments are you doing? Are you buying crypto and just holding the coins? If so, I would say that it would be best for you to buy crypto and then transfer the coins to a secure wallet. It's less likely that you will get hacked that way. If you are daily trading, then you need an exchange. Binnance is a good option, but I'm sure coinbase, bittrex and why not poloniex (now that it was bought by circle) are great options as well. From what I know, coinbase even has an insurance for it's users, so you should be ok with them.

if for myself to exchange my money in investing very quickly is to invest and trade in ethereum and bitcoin if used as long and short term. because to get a big profit it is easy to invest in both coins

No exchange is safe for investment even for the short term, also the exchange does not provide wallet service, they are actually for only exchange, you should store your coins in wallet.

Exactly, no one exchange where is safe to store your cryptocurrency because you will never know what will happens nowadays on that exchange site. I must prefer on MEW for your storing your cryptocurrency for a free wallet in long-term but there is a good one wallet, a hardware wallet it is not expensive but you need to buy on it.
I suggest you that don't store on the exchange site for long-term it's okay if you storing for a days not years because that is risky to store.

I personally don't like to keep my coins exchanges. It has more probability to hack than personal wallet. Because exchanges wallets private keys are stored on there servers. Always to get out funds from exchange to wallets if you are not going with short team trading.

I think the best exchange for long-term investors is Binance and Bittrex. There are more trusted exchanges but I think these two top exchangers. Because of Best User Experience & Most SECURE.

I advise you not to keep funds on the stock exchange. I think Binance is the best choice, with this exchange there are no problems yet.

I will advance you not to try keeping your coin or Altcoin on exchange due to the risk involve. As we all know that an exchange can be hack anytime. So for long time holding it better you use your personal wallet and also when you keep your coin on exchange don't make use of your private key always make use of metamask in case if the site is hacked they won't be able to see your private key. Security measure is important.

If for whatever reason you can't or prefer not to keep your coins yourself then binance is a trustworthy exchance, coinbase probably better but with a limited choice of coins. Pick ones that are in an offshore location and in a liberal country like malta or panama

In my opinion, you should buy ETH, ETH prices are on the decline, they are coin can compete with BTC in the future. Although the current ETH price is low, they are the most common coin in the market, holding them extremely safe.

For me no exchange is secure to hold coin..any exchange can be hacked...so hold in your treasure wallet is more safe..beside it Bittrex,binance,poloniex,hitbtc are good exchange for trading

I think what you use now is alright because binance is secured exchange but you need too a extra careful because no one knows what will happen if one day that exchange got hack and all your funds is their there's possibility that your funds will be stolen. Much better to put your coins in hard wallet that your the only one know the private key.

Even the crappiest phone wallet is a better proposition.

Even if the exchange remains secure, you might forget your password, lose your 2FA or email or the most likely is that they lock accounts because of some new demand for verification that you can't deliver.

all exchanges to save and invest of course all its almost the same about the security, so it would be nice we keep the coins that we make investment in our hard wallets, and of course we can secure our assets with security of course we own that make and keep it, and only we can know the key, if in Binance exchange, it is more suitable for me to do as a day trading.

If you want to hold crypto in 1 years, for the better dont keep it in the exchange because that risky, for the more safe much better keep in personal wallet that you have full control with the private key, like coinomi. But if you want to keep in the exchange, decentralized exchange will be more safe for hold coin in the long term.

I don't know what kind of token you have in Binance Exchange, but for me much better to keep your fund in your personal Wallet like MyetherWallet rather than in exchange site if you want to Hold for the long year. But when it comes to best exchange site to trade the token that you want to trade Binance is one of the best exchange site that i know but make sure your token is listed in binance.

If you don't know, it is not advisable to keep your coins in an exchange site in long term because of the threat of hacker. If you want to hold your coins for long term just transfer it in your personal wallet which is much secured compared in exchange site.

Yes that's right, the better would do if they want to hold their coins for long term is transfer in the personal wallet to secured.
It's not a good idea to keep in your funds to an exchange for long terms because it's dangerous.

I am also using binance and I think it is a bit safe but for long term is what I cannot really tell. Many cryptocurrencies experts has said it is very risky for one to keep fund or coins in cryptocurrencies exchange platforms as it is not safe. However we still have no any much options now because even the online wallets are not saved. You should try an save your long term investment in an offline wallets and that is were your investment is safe.

Perhaps Waves DEX can be considered. I know the trading volume there is small but if only for trading bitcoin and ethereum, I think Waves DEX is a safe place.

Am now getting scared of the new exchanges. Both withdrawal I made didnt get through in 2 day, imagine if i need it urgently. It call for concern on the genuineness of the exchanges,  Just in case they could not be withdrawn, poses a question of the security of the new exchange. There should be a check on those exchanges on not stolen .

Binance and Bittrex are two exchanges I trust. Their security system is very good and I think we should put all our coins there.
This is the best way to keep our assets intact. In addition, its interface is very beautiful and easy to understand. I appreciated this, it helped me see things easier than ever.

Exchange is not meant for storing our coins so I never suggest you to do this,you need to keep your coins in a wallet ( Which gives you private key to access your funds ).Then your coins will be safe as long as you keep you private key safe.The hardware wallets are the best to store the coins in long term then other kind of wallets.

any exchange can become like that you used. wanna be sure - do not keep in exchanges. Do not be involved in crypto. Work.

Kraken is the best exchange way of bitcoins.

I wouldn't consider any exchange for for the long terms investing. But if you insist look at the biggest one maybe Binance or Bittrex...depends which crypto assets you have.

i think it is binance,poloneix,bittrex,you can buy and hold at this exchange,with me if i buy and hold for long time i like hold at my wallet and i will proctect my wallet,it is the most safe with my money,now 80% my money is store at my wallet,and i never log in except i sold out my money

Carefully keep the assets in the exchange wallet, let alone dalah long period of time. Now there have been many cases. The professional hackers are more interested in attacking exchange sites with the opportunity to take more assets of investors or traders only once hacked.

binance I think it's great for long-term investment market because binance is the biggest number 1 market and should have a very good security system.

If a long-term investment such as a year is being considered, exchanges are not really reasonable. Many coins have their own wallet, as for tokens they can be stored in the wallet like mew or metamask. So the coins are always be within arm's reach and you will not have to trust anyone.

Sorry to say that none of the exchanges are sure they are safe. If you are not a trader, do not make daily deals. I advise you not to put your money on the exchanges. That is quite dangerous. If you want to invest in the  long term you should put them in the wallet, especially the wallet hardware, it is the safest wallet. None can steal your money.

I preffer the binance too, becouse of intuitively understandable user interface and easy and fast transactions, liistings and whateer you need

The thing is that basically all exchanges are secure till proven otherwise, and as you probably can figure out yourself, no one wants to be proven otherwise with funds sitting in that specific exchange. In other words, we have to ask ourselves what secure actually means, and in what aspects an exchange is secure. Binance is more or less still a newbie in crypto land, so it's just a matter of time before something happens on their side that will shock the market. Don't forget that with their size, even a relatively smaller loss of coins (per ratio to their total holdings) will be huge in reality. Huge enough to shake up the market significantly....

I agree. Just because they are the most popular one and has largest volume, this tell nothing about their security measures. If one plans to store larger amounts of coins on exchange, then you should make investigation how much of their assets an exchange has in cold storage and how much in hot wallets.

Your savings are best kept on wallet(s). But if you sometimes trade, then there are many options. Every exchange has its drawbacks and advantages. There is no perfect exchange. Personally, I use Binance, Poloniex and Bitfinex. Sometimes there is a need to use other exchanges (where there are coins that interest me). And sometimes you have to use some decentralized exchanges. But there in general, everything is sad ... in my opinion.

there are some good places for long term investment I think binance is because I see binends have a very crowded market conditions so that the movement of coin prices there very quickly so suitable for the long term.

It is better to invest your bitcoins in those exchanges with a high volume of bitcoins and so many top ranking altcoins that is listed with.

If you are investing for long term, keeping your asset in an exchange or third party service is a very wrong thing to do. You should keep your coin in a place, wallet or cold storage where you could access your coin without third party. You must own and secure your private keys.
