Title: What happened with HITBTC now? 4 week for withdrawal?
Post by: Vit83 on May 11, 2018, 11:44:19 AM
Good day everyone. Is this normal that HITBTC giving such disclaimer when I'm trying to take my ETH? Is this normal for them?

Monitoring subsystem notice

Our monitoring systems show that ETH daemons are not stable now. Either ETH network is highly loaded or our servers are overloaded. We are handling it right now and your coins are safe. However, proceeding with withdrawal right now could lead to your transaction being delayed or stuck, until we manually process it, which in the worst case can take up to 4 weeks.
We apologise for any inconvenience caused.

Perform a withdrawal anyway?

The problem is the exchange site wasn't putting a reliable fee to get high priority. Look at this mempool for txpending and it looks like the transaction has doubled on its total compared with the previous week.
https://etherscan.io/chart/pendingtx
It looks like take almost a day or more to be confirmed by the block.

Most probably they are not paying enough fee to speed up the transaction time. I like Bittrex and Poloniex for withdrawing they hardly takes few minutes after confirmation.

if only trade ethereum, maybe i will choose bittrex
but, sometimes we want to trade any potential ethereum tokens that not listed on bittrex but listed on hitbtc
what sould we do, ?
of course i will buy in hitbtc as soon as possible
but, if the issue come from ethereum network thats no problem, the problem is when the issue come from hitbtc
i hope evrything will be fine soon  ;)

Oh.
Hitbtc is known for it's highest withdrawal fee amongs exchanges, and now they can't add a few more gwei to make tx faster.
Oh

I get the problem with eth only one time and this was only on hitbtc. Usually, all happens in few minutes. Maybe not proper time. But I don't want to use such exchange one more time.

Its normal, and you can proceed with your withdrawal just that, it may take a long period of time to receive it, at least you knew that they have an updates of what was happening in the surroundings. Many of you just have this issue and lot of them received their withdrawal but it takes so long to wait it. Anyway, HITBTC is doing their best to process all their transactions.

No they are not doing their best. If they were doing their best they would raise the transaction fee and all users would get their ETH in matter of minutes.

the best way for them is to give users ability to choose, not put such disclaimers that will scare everyone.

I don't understand. Many people has issues with HitBTC and their deposits/withdraws. But HitBTC is on the 11 place by Day Volume. Why people use it? Or why ICO team use it? For sign about exchange?

lol no!
this kind of problem have been happened for a few months already or to put it bluntly they did this kind of thing a month after they built it/ran it.
nothing wrong with them because they're selectively choose their victim based on location, balance and else.
just type it on google, you will see a lot of people have this kind of problem and none of them solved this problem.
stay away from this exchange because they made a few shady things behind our back.

Hitbtc has been causing problem for users for a long time. I was never able to earn any fee rewards from my referrals for example. And they have a terrible support service. For several times they had the same withdrawal problem and huuuge fees. I would advise you to change your exchange ASAP.

It is really pitiful what has been happening at HITBTC, this has been happening for a long time and I also have nothing to complain about in this exchange that is totally reliable and one of the best known, but we know of the high values of rates and recent problems, will any moderator of this exchange read these comments? Let's wait to empty the support case, which should be full of complaints.

Not only that. Havent you consider that they do have deposit fees too https://support.hitbtc.com/hc/en-us/articles/360000702025-Deposit-fees might be only on BTC but still a greedy move and now they cant pay up or willing to patch up gas for their traders ? How ridiculous.

Don't do it, 4 weeks is probably the shortest amount of time it will take. HitBTC is notorious for having awful withdraw and deposit methods and timelines, I would avoid like the plague if possible. If not I would send an amount you won't worry about having stuck for a while.

In this there is nothing strange, since now the network Ethereum is very loaded. I've deduced ETH many times and I had the same message, but the tokens came in maximum after 1 hour.

I think there was an error or problem with ethereum a couple months ago but you can actually make a withdrawal. It is just a precaution that if the network is traffic there might be delays upon withdrawal and could take up to 4 weeks to receive your coin.

This is a frequent problem with an exchange and it is still normal. I have been using HitBtc for a long time but I have not had any serious problems with withdrawal. this is a simple problem that may soon be lost and will return to normal.

I think the hitbtc market is now getting better, in addition to the big start volume. for deposit and withdrawal it is getting better them. maybe when you make a withdrawal, it's when error
