I'm trying to understand the futures markets for cryptocurrencies including Bitcoin.  I know the cme launched Bitcoin Futures in 2017 but are they the only ones in the world or do other countries offer these?  Or do other countries offer other cryptocurrency futures contracts

the CME offers a bunch of different types of futures contracts, not just Bitcoin if that's what you're asking? other groups offer a type of Bitcoin futures contract too if that maybe answers your question in another way. i actively trade the index futures (nasdaq and s&p) so i can provide more info there if you need it. let me know!

I'm more interested in understanding what might move the market?  For example, the maturity of these futures contracts would result in the physical settlement of a cryptocurrency.  I remember reading somewhere that it the maturity of crypto futures contracts can have an affect on the cryptocurrency price..

Which futures contacts would these be?  I was thinking of CME futures, but there must be millions of others all around the world.  Maybe there isn't.. Do you know?

Do you mean what might move the market in the future or what brought it to its current weak state?  If the question is about the past and present then it was probably inevitable after the prices were growing so fast. Plus, rather important part played and keep playing the Asian govs trying to ban or regulate cryptocurrencies. Another factor is that during the bull run there were many newbies joining the market, because it attracted lots of attention. Then they panicked too fast after some bad news.
If your question is related to the future, then I don't think futures contracts are going to have good impact on the market. Real use-cases and more professional blockchain-related meeting might.

you are right, we should be more interested and understand what makes a market can grow.
when we want to gain many benefits from the market we have to discuss much about a price that exists in that market.
if we do not discuss we will not be able to profit and will miss about the market price movement.
in the cryptocurrency trade we must often see the movement between one market and another so that we can understand the state of the market.

That would never possible because everyone has his or her platform.
