What Goldman Sachs said is that Bitcoin was a bubble which I don't believe myself and I believed bitcoin will start pumping from next month due to the bitcoin payment system implemented by the Russian for the FIFA World Cup game but the Fundstrat Global research  predicted bitcoin to cliche $36,000 price ranfe by the end of next year, I know nothing is impossible but can will achieve such ATH next year?

It would be. Look that a high demand will be generated during FIFA. So if the supply doesn't get more, price will surely rise.
Even if supply be consistent with demand there is a chance of price increase because a number of transaction will increase during the timeline.

We continuously read figures mouthed off from all sides. I do not understand how to say 20,000, 36,000, 50,000 and so on. Anyone invents a figure and says it as the next highest level that will be reached by the btc. It's really annoying.

For by the end of the year ,it is highly possible that bitcoins will reach the $36,000 and over if all things remain the same as it is now, without any bigger economies country clamping down bitcoins users or demand being reduce.

This is the first I've heard about the World Cup and bitcoin, I had to do some research. What I found is that the bitcoin component only relates to a specific hotel group in Russia offering to accept bitcoin for hotel room stays during the World Cup. So it's not Russia, it's not FIFA, it's a private hotel group. That implies that the publicity about this will be nonexistent, and it's the publicity that will drive hype for bitcoin.

That being said, if you are asking whether it will reach $36k by the end of 2018 I would say this is unlikely, unless it goes on a huge bull run between now and then. It did happen around this time last year, so hopefully market sentiments pick up at some point and we start running again.

It's baseless to expect almost anything in crypto. Personally, i think 36k is achievable this year with fomo, same thing that propelled btc to ath last year. It can't be certain of course but up to now we've followed a pattern of having ath annually so i'm quite positive about it.

Many predictions have been given   and  prices bitcoin  are guess   very high. But bitcoin prices are growing very slowly. It does not even exceed $ 10,000.and   everybody  blowing room  value   it too much. I think it can not pass 20,000 dollars until the end of this year.

You think $36,000 is doubtful? I do not think so. Remembered that last year bitcoin was projected to hit around $25,000 - $30,000. That is simply because you are just watching the news all the time, price is not the important factor you need to look when it comes to bitcoin, the underlying technology is the most important factor and when every factors are met the price would rise automatically simply because it is a developing market and it will take some time to fully develop.

I've heard in 2017 that bitcoin is going to cost 20k+ in 2018. All those predictions for future years is mostly taken from head, nobody exactly knows what's going to happen, just like nobody knew that crypto market will fall.

It's still too early to know how things will end up with bitcoin. This is May and the price isn't looking that great. We just have 2 more quarters to go before the year officially comes to an end. $20,000 is the current all time high so I think $36K is a little bit over the board. $25000 might be a much more easy target to achieve. With all the regulations around, Bitcoin is just doing just enough to stay afloat in the market. Going beyond the resistance has been a problem

Honestly 36K imo is pretty achievable by the end of the year, some fud here and there and mtgox messing around will slow down what many people who have no money in crypto consider to be a "bubble".  But the amount of belief in btc having yet ANOTHER incredible year added to historic data could make up for this.... thats a big picture opinion of mid term situation for me.

Other factors again not fundamental with charts are face(theft)book, google and twitter fighting an inevitable crypto wave could be matched by more and more giant companies such as Telegram, Kodak or Disney... ofc if even bigger companies like Amazon or Microsoft join in that would be a huge win for the "positive crypto hype" vs the "dark forces fud"

I would like to know how you did arrive at that figure in the first place. A lot of persons do want the Bitcoin price high probably for their own profits and not looking at what situations around the Cryptocurrency world/market is saying. Well, I dont really see the Bitcoin hitting that high this year maybe next year after it must have won some grounds in the government of some countries.

If Bitcoin was still trading at the rate that it was last December which was $20,000 i would be very optimistic that it would have been able to reach $36,000 but seeing its current trajectory and value i don't think that it will be able to hit the said target at all.

Generally speaking, if somebody knows it will happen in the end of the year then he/she/they will become rich in the end of the year. You lack of zero or its really $3600? There's no need to say this isnt the good time to invest. What kind of charts are you looking at? Before anything else, $36000 or $20000 or $15000, we will be there soon and this is the best times to invest. Likely, we need to be patient and cooldown first with this bear until the market goes well again. I'm into bullish predictions though some are not that accurate. But its a good basis for a bitcoin holder.

I do not think the impact of the World Cup on the price of bitcoin will be so big. There is nothing to hope that during the championships the price will increase. And it certainly will not reach 36k $. The increase from today's level to such a high price is simply unlikely.

Bitcoin is not a bubble. What happened is that big money had entered the crypto markets. Contrary to what some elitists say, the presence of big money is not good for the average Joe, as it will try to get him out of the market, buying heavy amounts of crypto and then dumping it hard, to force the average Joe to sell. They did it with the stock market and precious metals, thats why such markets are dominated by institutions. In the long run, this will kill bitcoin as a currency, and it will turn to be just another financial instrument under the control of the banks. Later on, governments might use the blockchain technology to have their own national cryptocurrencies.

The only way to solve this problem, is to encode exchanges in blockchains, imposing limits for lows at mining costs. Since KYC will only get worse, sooner or later only the bankers will be able to deal in centralized exchanges. With a parallel market in decentralized exchanges, we will be able to see bitcoin matching the mining costs, and going higher from there.

Predictions aren't meant to be accurate. People can only throw around with guesses. If anyone here had even a slight clue about how this market shifts through it cycles, they wouldn't be here trying to act like they know what's going on. I like reading through predictions as long as they aren't extremely filled with fantasy. In the last weeks the bearish tinted predictions were the most interesting to through, especially those set up by people who aren't trying to mimic kwukduck. It's all about the intent and the in detail explanation of why you think something might happen. Everyone can say I expect this or that price by the end of the year, but only a few can back it up with strong fundamentals.

It was actually possible that the lowest price will be on september because people right now is starting to invest which can be the start of pumping up to the end of the year so there is a huge chance that it might reach $36k dollars this year.

The fact that Bitcoin's price may amount to $ 36,000 next year is quite possible. Obvious, this is because if the price last year increased by more than 10 times on BTC. So why the price of Bitcoin can not increase 4.5 times a year now? Now the price is only $ 7800. Even at 10,000 $ bitcoins seems to struggle to cross and until it reaches that price no need to forecast or look forward that a price that is far above it all time high price.

I think if conditions in some media talk about positive things about bitcoin and some very influential platforms can accept payments using bitcoin I think it could happen because of rising bitcoin prices there should be good news first to be able to trigger the investors and the whales to buy bitcoin.

The cliche that i have in my mind is that bitcoin will reach 30,000$ on or before February 2019 and with the current dip of bitcoin today, it's making me feel thrilled as to what bitcoin will really bring on the table for us. I am still optimistic that it will really happen because this dip is just normal or in some way being manipulated by whales and other entities to make people worry.

For me, this is much exaggerated prediction. As you can see this year, bitcoin is struggling with strong declines. One should remember about ATH, which will not be easy to achieve again in the near future as well as increases above ATH.

What Mr. Goldman Sachs's said might be also a speculation besides, bitcoin was so unpredictable. There are many things could might happen in a couple of months but one thing I can only assure of and that is bitcoin will never stay on its price, whether we like it or not bitcoin will increase and will decrease as well so keep hold upon it and believe and those efforts of ours will be worth.

Yes i agree on that, the price of bitcoins can actually increase so much before  the year ends so keep on holding your coins in order to earn more profit in the future.

It really is hard to tell whether this increase would take place and would be that much. At thid moment, down trend is still happening in the market value of cryptos. Making such assumptions is a bit absurd knowing that the market is still having a hard time or struggling right now. We should focus more on holding tan anything else.

There is a possibility but as we can see with in this year, BTC is facing a hard time in terms of increasing its value. But I still believe that it will give us surprise probably in the last quarter and everyone are probably getting more positive about it.

The lowest price of btc last year before it pump so hard is $1k and now we are stabilizing in the price of $6k so I think it is still possible. It would only happen if the same miracle happens like the ETF favoring us and then a good news comes after another like a domino.

Price of the bitcoin now is already down to 6400 dollars and we don't know when the price again. But we can pump bitcoin if we want by simple holding and buying bitcoin. I hope bitcoin will really reach that price so we can earn more money.

Unfortunately we see these speculations and exaggerations most of the time about cryptocurrency and especially about Bitcoin. Bitcoin has become a tool for shorting which in my opinion is not a great thing really. With a very small change in the price people either talk of it to be on the top and predict it to cross as said above its ATH or either they will predict it to be a trash in the next few days which is truly ridicules. They don’t look at the ground realities and just throw something new for their gossips.

it is possible for bitcoin to reach that price and I am sure that many people are waiting for the bitcoin to back an increase in higher rate. I hope that everything will change in the next month so the bitcoin and the altcoin will increase in the same time and makes us confuse about what coin that we need to sell because every coin it seems can give a big profit for us ;D let's hope that everything will fine so it will give a good progress in the market itself and the market can recover the price.

His prediction is pretty well good. So we all know that nothing is impossible, then we should hope for the best thing to happen for bitcoin. If that thing would happen then thats the time that all bitcoin users may have a big profit for what they are doing through bitcoin.

all possible bitcoin prices can happen that you just buy and after that you can save it in the wallet on the blockchain that can hold your bitcoin forever and of course after that the price will be very expensive because surely bitcoin will experience a reduction in total supply which makes the price can be very expensive.

We first need to see what will happen to bitcoin and other crypto currency at the end of this year. While the market this year was completely stagnant. Therefore, everyone is interested in how the Crypto currency will finish the year. If there is no significant price increase, this can cause disappointment for many investors and will have a big impact on price formation next year.

The year-on-year increase will not have much impact on next year's bitcoin situation. 2017 has a great momentum at the end of the year but in 2018 it is very erratic, the situation of each year is only for reference.

Anytime, anything can happen to bitcoin - be it a drastic rise or a drastic fall. Since i started investing on it somewhere in the 3rd quarter last year, i really never expected it to rise drastically going to December. Even a drastic rise this year or a repeat is still probable for bitcoin The 36,000$ cliche is also possible next year and it may even exceed than that.

Due to it volatility any possibility will happen and predictions will be difficult to be hit, but  the good thing when it start pump it will  continue to pump like  crazy and if you were able to buy bitcoin in today and suddenly it pump up you can't imagine how profit you should earn out of your investment. 

It is just fake cliche. How can one say that the price will be $36000 till the end of this year? I think the price will remain the same as it is today till December this year. The market is red and there is no green signal in the market. There are just three more months in this year and $36000 is far away. There is a huge difference between today’s price and $36000.

If we see another unnatural and unexpected huge bump in the price again like the previous year, then it may reach to $36k, but apart from that huge bump in the price last year the price still didn’t reach to $20000. Now I wonder if we see another bump how it will reach to $36000, because this price is too big. Due to this ambiguity I think it will never happen.
