Title: Help solo mining with 100 clients Post by: mota966 on December 17, 2013, 05:15:34 PM I have 100 computers each with 4 GPUs and i want to solo mine but im not sure if im doing it right.
I want to setup the wallet on one computer and turn that into a server and have the other 100 computers connect to the server. rpcthreads= (Set the number of threads to service RPC calls (default: 4) Is it ok to increase the rpcthreads limit and mine with the mentioned setup. Title: Re: Help solo mining with 100 clients Post by: mota966 on December 17, 2013, 06:02:38 PM I can only connect 4 computers to the server, im not sure what rpcthreads is and why the default is 4 im guessing if i increase this number i can connect all 100 computers. Please advise since im not sure.

Title: Re: Help solo mining with 100 clients Post by: Etnad on February 19, 2014, 06:32:26 PM Just add the following lines to your bitcoin.conf file:
rpcthreads=xxx xxx is the number of your miners, like 100. Save and close the file, then restart your bitcoin-qt. Everything should be fine by now. Title: Re: Help solo mining with 100 clients Post by: amarian12 on February 27, 2014, 11:58:26 PM just setup one local p2pool and you will not have any issue, alone on it is like solo mining.
I can give you the right instructions how to do it if you need Title: Re: Help solo mining with 100 clients Post by: cyrpi4 on February 28, 2014, 06:43:53 AM can youshare your config plz, i have the same issue, but my computers wont connect to the server computer :S I am also interesting in configurations as I have almost the same situation. Another dude with "free electricity" :P Be advised that stealing power / bandwidth from a public/private company will be noticed in the end and you will be caught. And most people don't run 4 GPUs per computer. Be advised that stealing power / bandwidth from a public/private company will be noticed in the end and you will be caught. It sounds to me like he's running a GPU farm, and would rather not point all his hashrate at a pool, but just wants to solo mine. Pools usually charge a fee, and it's nice to have all your coins in your own hands at all times, ya know?
