Post by: maxreish on May 12, 2018, 01:32:14 AM
I have been trying to increase my knowledge about cryptocurrency, preferably with bitcoin when i accidentally see this infographic from this site (https://blockgeeks.com/guides/what-is-bitcoin/) If it helped me a lot to understand the flow on how to buy a bitcoin, then i think this will also help newbies to comprehend this infographic explanation.

Are you aware of merit farming?

A (9)> B
B (4)> A
A (2)> B
B (1)> A

A end up adding 5 more merits
B end up having 11 more merits

Assuming you are A that will make you 23 merits
And the other one is B that will make him/her 14 merits

If the OP would create the info graph then I would say spending your 9 sMerits to one person was valid.

Don't you think there are smart people on this forum?

Either you two know each others or both account owner is same person.

Please do not abuse merit or both account will be at risk of having redTrust and your life will be very hard joining on bounties.

The inforgraphic picture is nice but I think installing a virtual wallet isn't necessarily the first step. I think it should only be "create a bitcoin wallet" because a web wallet is more newbie friendly than those virtual wallets that can be installed(and there are more types of bitcoin wallet).

I think their case needs further discussion in meta so that others(who are expert in busting merit abusers) can also help in the investigation.

I might consider giving neutral tag to both and will observe their account. In future if I find any suspicious activities I will then create a topic in meta. Feel free to create a topic if you want to with the clues on my early comment. Let's see what others say about it.

The number 1 item on the inforgraph is not mandatory to install a wallet on your pc before buying your first bitcoins. You can use an exchange wallet to receive the coins you are buying or even use an online wallet without downloading any client into your pc.
