At what point is best to sell on the news?  The day before?  Day of the News? Or just set a target and sell when its met?

When you think price is already high because of pump.
But that's only for those people who always do short-time trade, they are always buying the news and selling the rumour

The day of the news, because you don't know when the news will be published to the public audiences. Just set a target but it should not very high because it can minimize your chance to catch them.
You should keep yourself being update with the latest news in the cryptocurrency to make it more easier and not missing any moment.

Sell during the pump, from my experience it's usually 1 day or 2 day before the news announcement. Don't be a fanboy and hold a coin for a really long period of time, taking profit is always a good thing

The primary factor for selling is the price and volume charts. We also need to remember that the asset does not always correlate with the news in the way it was supposed to.

This is only useful for weak projects that use news for Pump and Dump. Some examples of these projects are Tron, Verge, Nano, and IOTA.

They announce partnerships regularly, where no one has a clue if there is any value in these partnerships. With this, people buy from excitement but sell by trying to understand the real gain.

So when you start hearing a rumor, buy it. And you must sell exactly at the time the ad starts to be released.

Now, in more robust projects, good news means buying more, never selling. Imagine if tomorrow China will announce that Bitcoin will be accepted. That would mean you should sell your organs to buy as much Bitcoin as you could and later you would get so rich that you could buy new organs without any difficulty.

As soon as you make good profits  :D, there is no hard and fast rule. For me normally it is good chance to double the $$$ for good news time and never wait for too long.

The question is how are you going to know when the news come out? What's the point of selling before the news actually comes out, and there isn't even any hype in the markets to push prices up yet?

It makes sense to sell immediately after whatever positive news from the media that allows prices to go up.

For example, an exchange listing of a coin will almost always make its value jump without any reason. That is a good time to sell. Of course, in a fomo buying situation, you should always have clear sell targets as well.

Depends on the project, as you may have seen verge got really pumped when they were going to announce a partnership. Then it was announced as pornohub so it was dumped a lot by investors. If it was better news like a partnership with Microsoft, then keep it for long term hold. It varies so DYOR

I bet this to be more effective, IMO. Just set a price target and once you've met it just sell it for you to take the profit.

It doesn't matter of the news was brought out before or after the day, what's important is you look at the price and that's where you should focus.

A usual strategy right now since the news are really making a big impact in cryptoworld. I don't sell my coins even if I read some negative news about it because I know it can survive and go even high in long term. Traders usually do sell on the day of the said news.

It depends. If the price is already up quite high a couple days before, then sell then. I usually set an alarm on my phone to notify me the day before and check the price. If the price is right, i'll sell then. If not, tell it to notify me again later. But, I usually sell by the day before the news happens.

For me, I think the best way to sell a news is to set a target which should not be very high because it can minimize chance to catch them. You can also achieve this by following daily news about crypto or participating actively in the forum for update.

Sell your news? Most of the blog creator create their blogs on real time and most of them are only useful for one day to two days since most of the altcoin price is changing very fast and sometimes creating news also about the project development compared to price update is much better to submit for payment.

The best time for selling is when the price starts to pump. This time is usually in last days before announcing, but sometimes it is hard to find this the best time so if you can, hold your coins in long time

if you are in profit already then spread your sell order so that you earn without any risk .
also day to sell depend on price fluctuation , if it is overbought then sell it , if it is still stable then do wait for some days . but always sell before news .

Do you price bump is happening because of the news has been spreaded everywhere. I do not believe it mate. None of the potential and good news about crypto currency hasn't come on the same day on local news channel but fake and negative seems spreading very fast than anything.
So whales targeting to the crypto currency one and pull them down like how they are doing on share market investment. Finally once the coin value dumped then they come with the big purchase for them alone on any exchanges. This is only happening for the past few months mate.

It depends upon the situation. Some coins could pump for some more time after the news so need to do staggered sells; some before the news and some at and after it. No easy way to perfectly time the top.

There's always a loop about negative news. Whenever we go up, it's a bad news.

We do have the same observations which it is usually 1-2 days before.Ive been catching up this thing too when i was just starting on where pumps do usually happen before days but there are times that price doesnt really react on upcoming news in the market. Buy the rumor sell the news is the saying.  It means buy when there is a buzz about the coin and sell when solid information comes out.  If you look at the track record of Crypto this has usually been the case.  People will hype up a coin and projects will announce MAJOR ANNOUNCEMENT COMING SOON and so on.  When the news hits it's rarely as big as people were thinking and they dump.

For those who do short-term trading to sell news when prices start high because of pumping, so that profits from rumors that spread. as well as we do not hold the coins in time too long, we also must always know the latest news every day.

I think it is better to sell on the day of news, it is a more rational decision in my opinion. But in any case, you need to follow all the latest information about the cryptocurrency.

Negative news may not work every time for bitcoin but it works almost for every other altcoin. News of scam teams if verified to be true for altcoin, i will just pull out immedialtely.

Personally, I'm more in setting a target and sell. I don't know but maybe I just learned that the market is full of deceiving people plus it's unpredictable so better to set a target and not become a FOMO. And in this way you lessen becomingly greedy and you'll assure your profit.

Well, in my own humble opinion the best time to sell the news is when it is about to happen so that by the time that it exploded the audience is already prepared and there is always that authority attached to someone selling it when the "prediction" do happen as it should be. Of course, this is not that easy to do and you must either have an inside knowledge on the people connected with the news or you have a friend who has the Nostradamus ability. Nevertheless, selling the news is always the best strategy to pump anything and this can even be an effective marketing strategy.

To sell is better shortly before there will be an event, and to buy it is better long before before this event will be. so I acted before and it brought me profit, but when I was selling during the news the price was already not at the peak...

Personally, I think it is better to always set a target amount for a coin you plan to hold and when it gets to the targeted amount, you can sell but you should not be greedy with it. If the value is a good one for you to make reasonable profit, you can sell.

Sell during the effect of the news.
If the news brought pump to the coin that you are holding then you better start selling.
Don't wait for the hype to end for that coin or you will miss the chance of selling it.

I think selling when some target is hit is better because you can't know when it would dump but selling just before the news actually happens is usually better.

It means that sell, when everybody knows about the news. Buy rumors mean that buy, when only you and few people know something that many people do not know.
It is simple. If you want to earn, you should do something diffrent than others. Because in trading 90% of people are losing their money.

News is only useful when you are in the uptrend, if the downtrend the news is not worth much, most of the coin will decrease over time and lead to losses.

for me, i am setting a percentage when to sell, for example, if it goes up for around 10% then i will sell it but if it goes down then ill hold, depending on the news and on my own intuition i will sell all of it if it goes down 5% or much lower.

IMO and my observation, the price start to fall when the event happened or sometimes few hours to a day before. Hence, selling 1 day before should be safe.

When prices continue to move up from day to day for 5, 6 or 7 consecutive days although the price increases only 10-15 percent but it's a good time to make news, because 1-5 days are sources or evidence there's an increase so that the published news, will be considered actual by the public nor the news observer.
