I'm from the Philippines and I'm a working student. I've been doing parttime job and was able to save up upto $3k for the past few years. I'm planning to invest $1k into an altcoin. Could anyone help me or suggest on which coin to invest or even help me set up my own crypto portfolio. I'm doing this for my future so it would be a great help if someone could help me out.

LOOM network and Fusion are the two best projects to invest with 1 K

Invest on tron the main net is getting close now it will have a jump on its price once the main net is launched. you should invest on vechain too the coin looks pretty solid to me and add some top 10 coins like eos or ethereum. its the best time to buy some coins right now the price is been down by alot.

I think this can be. A very easy decision
Buy a quota of ETH
Buy XMR
Buy NEO

Invest similarly into LTC and also trade in waves
Then you can smile later

If you are still student and want to invest, I suggest to invest in strong Coin like  BTC, ETH, NEO, and many other. because even that coin fall it's still has chance to recover back. If you interested to invest in ICO, you must know that there is many ICO which SCAM and many ICO are failed. Invest in strong Coin I think it better to save your money for future.

If this $1000 is your only money, then just buy bitcoins since it is the safest crypto of all and you can only lose all if the crypto markets collapse completely.

If that $1000 is a throw away money which you are willing to risk for altcoins, I would buy small market cap coins like BURST, Bitsend, Raven, Pigeon. These are my choices because all of them have a fine road map with big decent communities.

3-6 weeks is not a long period of time and I do not agree with you here. The coins which you suggested are popular coins with the potential to grow over a long period of time. Op would most likely need to HODL these coins for 1-2 years to acquire substantial profits in the long run. Op should be ready to HODL for the long term if he/she wishes to earn big profits in the long run according to me.

Among the coins which you suggested, Ethereum is the obvious coin to bet on for the long term since I am expecting it reach new highs before the end of this year. XMR and NEO are also great choices with great long term potential.

check Cardano , it seems like a good coin highly undervalued at the moment and can actually give you some major profits in the long run

If I have $ 1000 I will buy Ethereum and hold it until Ethereum reaches the highest price, I think buy another altcoin at a low price and expect the altcoin price to soar, it's a too risky decision, altcoin that works by pump always worries me.

There are many good altcoins in which you can invest your $1K  but i suggest to you invest in NEO, EOS, IOTA these coins are low value coins with high potential which can gives you very good returns on your investment in long term.

Ethereum this year will hit an ATH that is unprecedented, unmatched. It will hit around 2-3k mark by the end of the year so, investing in Ethereum now can bring you big profits. Other than that... NEO could prove profitable and also Ripple. But neither will match ETH in profits. Also, Bitcoin is now dipped at 8200 after rising over 9k, if you missed the 6k dip this year earlier, it is a good time to buy before the bull run.

I think you should put concentration on low market cap coin. I'm also a newbie in crypto trading. I suggest you to put $500 in DeepOnion. I have already made 10x within 5-6 months and it has a great future, I think.
Of course, do your own research on it and decide. Don't blame me later if you lose.

See coinmarketcap  and invest in top Altcoin like NEO, TRON, IOTA, EOS, and many other. Even you can invest in BTC and ETH too if you want.

I would go for high promising projects. Maybe buy eth with it and put 70% into $VEN, $ICX or $MAN (all three high promising in the long run). I'd put that 30% in a high-potential ICO (low capped, low supply, high real life usage).

I would suggest that the best altcoin for investment should be Ethereum  since in my observation ETH has been performing quite good in the past several weeks. though, we are now currently experiencing the bear market and I think this will be the right time for you invest now while price is much lower now. Then, you should hold it for good and it would be better for you that you have to consider long term plan for your investment as you will be assured of a much sufficient profit soon.

I've tried investing in TRX and XRP and it didn't make me any profit. Bought TRX when its hyped as well as XRP when it reach $3 now I sold them all for a stop loss. That was few months back though and I don't really have trust in Justin but I'm not closing my doors on TRX maybe in the future if I see very good performance.


I'm looking at the minor altcoins. I do believe in the technology of both Eth and BTC but I wan't to maximize my profits and planning to invest in minor altcoins for bigger profits in the long run because I'm planning to do a long term investment around 2-3 years.


I'll try to check on this altcoin and understand their technology. I'm gonna add it if I can see that the technology has still lots to offer in the future.


I understand that its so risky to purchase minor altcoins but I'm doing it long term so I would definitely profit. Just making sure that I won't get into a trap or a shitty coin that would lose my investment. I'm considering BTC and Eth though but I prefer more on minor altcoins for bigger profits.

I'll try to check that as well. That's where the money is  but there's a very huge risk as well. Thanks for suggesting it. We'll add it if I'll be able to understand their technology when I'm done with my research.


I'll be considering EOS and NEO. I've heard a lot of good news from them and they really performed well in the market lately.

Do know that you will not be buying a big quantity....but those do have potential to go x20 or better (I strongly believe :)).

My capital is not that huge so I prefer buying minor altcoins which is cheap and could potentially multiply my investment into multiple folds. ;D

Yes. That's the plan for more profit but its a lot risky since crypto is so volatile and there are some coins that are just used for pump and dump.

you can buy ethereum for all $1k and you can get more than 1 ethereum. save 1 ethereum in your wallet, use the rest of ethereum for trade altcoin pair ethereum, you can find many cheap altcoins for pairing with ethereum and try to increase your ethereum. do it over and over, but not for the fast movement and try to take a profit, I am sure that you can do. just be careful to choose the altcoin because sometimes this will makes you confuse to choose the coin so you need to analyze the coin.

When people advise you, I suggest that you do not immediately adopt it, so suggest that you use it as a reference, and then find out for yourself what Altcoins are listed. After that, you can choose the coins you want to invest. good luck

This is a very good idea as well. Since Eth is a trustworthy altcoin next to BTC. I'll prowlly think about it and do some more brainstorming to gain more profits and avoid atleast a loss. Thanks a lot for sharing your suggestion. I really appreciate it.

Bitcoin will grow rapidly in the near future, according to forecasts. During periods of rapid growth of the main currency, all other altcoins begin to fall precipitously. I would advise you to buy bitcoin. Then wait for the moment of sharp growth BTC and the rapid fall of altcoins. After that, sell bitcoin and buy those coins that you think will be profitable and promising.

Tough call right there, first of all are you sure you want to invest specifically 1k$ perhaps less sum would be a good indicator whether it will pay off or not. If you still decide to invest 1k$ I would advise you to split your portfolio with different altcoins.

Hey pal, If I am to invest your $1k USD, I would perhaps invest it on ETH since this altcoin is one of the most popular and most promising coin that could give generous profit. More people believe such coin's performance in the crypto market where it is now the 2nd rank crypto currency in the market with many supporters. Though, we are currently experiencing bear market, take your chance to buy more at this current situation where ETH and other alts are cheaper now.
