I'm currently only getting 30% stales on this pool, with a pretty consistent connection, which is more than I can say for i0guild at the moment.

EDIT: and just as I go to hit "post" the pool and site seem to go down lol :(

Why does your pool accept shares from workers that aren't registered?

Title: Re: i0coin pool, first block solved!
Post by: joulesbeef on August 17, 2011, 02:31:16 AM
I've cashed out several times.

On guild, I had to generate 3 different wallet addies for them to accept one.
IT's a little buggy in that way, BUT IT ISNT DIGBTCs fault, it is the iocoins fault.
I havent had to redo an addy on digbtc yet.
so far i have discovered.. the longest addies tend to get rejected.. so try to gen till you get one a bit shorter.

Thanks for the pool digger.

On i0.digbtc my stats seem stuck at 5 shares under account info, but in the workers section they total more than 70. Is this going to update on its own? Thanks

Title: Re: i0coin pool, first block solved!
Post by: bcpokey on August 17, 2011, 03:28:50 AM
The stats have somewhat of a delay for updating it seems, but they do work as far as I can tell, at least for the rewards.

Also wallets are working fine for me. I have cashed out a few times as well, I will try again later and will confirm if it still works.

Now that it's back up I'm getting far greater returns on it than i0guild. We'll see if that continues though.

Well, we suspect Oldminer is Thomas Nasakioto of ixcoin: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=37502

So I guess he just wants us to all go back to mining ixcoins. :)

Do the stats take a little time to show up?

because stats take much resources and slow down the process of mining, so i temp stop it, you can just watch the block history.

Mining i0coins is about 20x more profitable than mining ixcoins. So I guess I will continue to mine i0coins.

Oldminer, so are you Nasakioto or not? If so, does that mean you are also Fred? :)

I just tried this pool and even though I'm getting relatively low stales for i0coins at the moment (~20%), it doesn't appear as if I'm getting any i0coins when the pool solves a block. Unconfirmed is 0.00000000 even though I currently have about a 100 shares accepted. In that time, the block has solved several blocks. Am I missing something?

Edit: Now the pool is down?
Edit2: Up again. Still no i0coins though.
Edit3: Just took a while. Everything seems to be working now.

how many useless forks do we need? at least namecoin has an intended use apart from trading for btc briefly.

You kind of have to let the market sort this one out by itself. While it's more profitable to mine on the latest coin, people will do so. And speculators will speculate on the coin, which makes mining profitable. As more and more of these forks die and cause those speculators to lose all their money, people will wise up and not speculate on the next fork and mining on them will be unprofitable much sooner. So there will be less incentives to create them,

because of short blocks recently, we stopped the auto payment method to reduce the server load.

so you just click request payout button, you will be paid at once when you need.

Brilliant :P

All I get is a blank page. Eliminating i0 and just going to digbtc.net gets me an ERR_CONNECTION_RESET. I still seem able to mine but can't check progress. Any ideas?

I'll check from work in a few, but I really hate not being able to check my balance at home.

I guess you missed why I0coin was created in the first place. Might want to read up on that.
It is also far from useless, it addresses many flaws of bitcoin.
if bitcoin cant survive some forking, it is already dead.
You mean gamblers dont you? gamblers lose money all the time, you expect gamblers to win every time?
How does losing money in a less stable online copy cat currency, harm bitcoin? if anything it makes bitcoin look safer and stronger.
Forks are competition and competition is good for the market.
will tomorrow bring another coin? probably, but like my first line said, you really might want to read up on why i0coin was created, which you obviously didnt do before calling it useless.

And tell me this my friend, so far I have made money at btc(paid many of my bills with it), so far, I have made money with ixcoin, so far I am making money on i0coin.. WHAT DOES THAT DO FOR THE BITCOIN MARKET?
