Title: XFX Video Cards
Post by: losthymns on December 18, 2013, 02:19:18 PM
Looking at buying 3 radeon R9 280x XFX cards and was wondering how they are doing for hashrate/power. If anybody has any data on this please let me know what kinda hashing power you guys are getting on those XFX cards?

Same as any other R9 280x card, within the usual tolerances.

smos-linux has these hashing at 670/680 without any adjustments. Actually, any adjustment to the config that i do drops the hash rate.

Installing xubuntu so that i can make the adjustments but i have heard that you can get 700 to 720 with 1020-1040 gpu and 1500 mem settings. Have not been able to confirm yet.

I am running 4 on a 1300w gold PSU with no problems. Have another 1200w for my next 4 xfx r9 280xs, i think she can handle the 4 cards but dont have my new dvi adapters in yet to test. will let you know.

Curious as to other peoples hash rates and settings as well. Thanks for the post.

Good luck on that, asking in this forum is most probably overpriced or have been used heavily on mining..

Can anyone else post their hash rates and settings for these cards? I spent hours with xubuntu build and cgminer 3.7.2 and cannot get these past 650kh.

On smos-linux I can get them only to 690kh each....
