Title: Tapering; affect on bitcoin
Post by: dave111223 on December 19, 2013, 03:16:42 AM
It appears the FED has been able to successful announce a $10Bil taping (cut in bond buying stimulus) and the markets did not crash.

Many in the bitcoin world; including myself; doubted that the FED would be able to pull back stimulus without negative impact.

Will this be a further blow to the bitcoin prices.

Speculate...

Why would the markets crash? I was really surprised that everyone was expecting this. The FED is still going to buy 75 billion dollars a month in MBS and treasuries. That still amounts to 900 billion a year, opposed to the 1.02 trillion that it would have been before the taper.
