Title: [ANN]Welcome to BIoT — IoT solutions on Byteball platform!
Post by: biot_ws on May 13, 2018, 11:16:59 AM
Hello, guys!

Quote

The Byteball infrastructure is ideal for the Internet of Things (IoT) sphere:
- core can be run on any platform that supports node.js
- ready to work in 0.1 second
- low technical requirements: 128MB of RAM and 8MB for the database.
Therefore, we want to create a system for IoT and micropayments.

We will build an architecture for fast and convenient work of developers with byteball and payment channels using javascript or any other programming language capable of working with JSON-RPC, WebSocket or other platform.

We released article on Medium about our project.  - https://medium.com/@BIoT/welcome-to-biot-iot-solutions-on-byteball-platform-94c4d7640f03 (https://medium.com/@BIoT/welcome-to-biot-iot-solutions-on-byteball-platform-94c4d7640f03) .
Waiting for your review.

Newbies can't post images, but Newbies can now pay a small fee to enable images (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2385104.0).

- low technical requirements: 128MB of RAM and 8MB for the database.
I don't know the current exact size of the database, but 8GB will be a lot closer than 8MB. Then again, you won't need the full database for a light client.

To launch light client of byteball you need 8mb for database - thats why its ideal for IoT devices, that are small )

My light client has only 2 MB user data stored, but the wallet itself takes 394 MB.

Progress of development

The development of the main core and payment channels of our system is brought to the state where everyone can test our solutions.
More information about our project in the first article (https://medium.com/@BIoT/welcome-to-biot-iot-solutions-on-byteball-platform-94c4d7640f03).
Therefore, the time has come to move from words to action — we want to show the real workings of our system.
To demonstrate this, we implemented two projects on real devices.
For the first project "Acquisition of activity" (https://youtu.be/Rll5JQGNrU0) is taken simple idea - the acquisition of light led-lights.
In the second project "Payment per use" (https://youtu.be/JN0o7xjtPhc) was implemented a prototype of Parking, where the car pays for Parking place.
Here is article about projects and not only (https://medium.com/@BIoT/biot-real-examples-of-work-of-our-system-20ed741c74a1).

The Future of BIoT

We are starting a new stage with huge plans:

- Optimization and improvement of the stability of our system
- Realization of protocols and examples on other programming languages
- Support offline work, as well as work on microcontrollers
- Creation of documentation
- Develop a client on PC / Android / iOS to manage and interact with devices by using mini applications on HTML5 or chat
- Creating a layout with real-life examples of use for participation in exhibitions
- Elaboration of the business model
and much more…

For the implementation of all plans and increased competitiveness, we need a lot of resources and effort,
that’s why we start looking for partners and funds (possibly an ICO).
