Title: WTS $100,000+ Worth of Bitcoin and/or Litecoin
Post by: watts on December 19, 2013, 08:50:57 AM
I have a huge quantity of both bitcoin and litecoin available for sale for USD. Willing to negotiate prices and meet in person, if you're in the US.

If your pockets are large enough, send me a PM and we'll take it from there.

Serious inquiries only.

I would have no problem starting with a $25,000 purchase and seeing how that goes before buying more. I do have to see an address signed or a couple addresses that total to $100K.

I am willing to buy 15k worth (to start) at a fair discount. I can deposit cash into the following banks: HSBC, Chase, TD Bank, Wells Fargo, Citi, Regions, BofA.   Pm me if you are interested. Good luck.

Don't do business he tried to scam me by using blockchain's watch-only feature. I asked him to sign a unique string with the private key to show he had control. He stop communicating after that. SCAM ALERT.

Wait, what? I haven't even talked to gweedo. I almost can't believe this - I am negotiating deals with a couple potential buyers right now (I'll contact some of the posters on this thread soon, including gweedo - working out some things before I get back to people, should be a day or two) and someone who I have never even talked to before posts a comment on my thread saying I tried to scam him? Let me get this straight with everyone:

I have never, ever, even talked to gweedo. Never. I don't know who he is, have never communicated with him before this post, and have absolutely no idea what he is even talking about. Gweedo: please show some sort of proof or even evidence that I have dealt with you at all before this post, let alone tried to scam you. I'm absolutely sure you have the wrong person, assuming you don't make up stories about legitimate members.

I haven't even sent him a PM yet about this deal (I've been backed up). I have however just sent him a PM notifying him about this post.

This is just crazy.

Please don't clutter this thread with comments like that that don't add to the discussion. Buying and selling large amounts of BTC and LTC is serious business, as is an inaccurate scam accusation - I'm sure gweedo and I will be able to clear this up very soon, as I'm certainly not the person he is talking about.

Mind signing a message from the address where these coins are?

that's a fairly easy request... a couple clicks in any major bitcoin client

i say if poster can not provide this thread should be removed

The bitcoin would only be in my possession directly before a transaction takes place. That's why I advertised a USD amount, not a BTC amount.

I do not currently have in my possession $100,000 worth of bitcoins (I do however have $100,000+ of USD). However, I would be purchasing whatever amount I would be selling prior to the transaction. This is why I'm interested in dealing in person, because it takes away most of the risk that the buyer will fall through. Disclosing anymore on this public thread would give away too much information on how my business makes a profit.

How about this-

gweedo: Please post a screenshot of any type of correspondence between us two. Anything- PM, email, Skype, etc. I'm not even asking for a screenshot of a PM where I do anything related to scamming you - I'm asking for a PM sent from my account to your account, because before I contacted you an hour ago alerting you to this problem, I have never even spoken a word to you. I haven't even responded yet to your contact request on this thread.

watts, I can provide escrow for this transaction. PM me for a deposit address for your $100K of BTC which will be held until you receive payment.

Wait, am I understanding this right? Maybe I'm just misreading it, but you're basically saying that you have $100K USD that you'd be willing to buy BTC with so that you can immediately turn around and sell for $100K USD? That makes absolutely no sense.

The only reason why he is doing this (beside a scam) wold be that he has somehow reached a deal with somebody and will acquire some bitcoins cheaper and wants to sell them back at a higher price.
But , sounds so fishy , and with the current price swings it's almost impossible to make a profit for certain.

So , second option , scam alert.
