I would imagine the same GPUs as are used for Litecoin, i.e. the R9 290.

I would like to know if it is possible to mine with CPU. I tried to mine on my MAC but it showed 0 MH/s. Is it only possible to mine with GPU?
Another question that does minging with the wallet app work or is only cgminer/asteroid working?

I've been mining with cpu, almost up to 4k coins but its getting slow now. I have parts ordered to build a new computer. I've been needing a new one for a while and mining has finally given me enough reason to spend the money.

wallet app is very slow, use cgminer.
It is possible to mine Scrypt coins with CPU, but very slow and unprofitable. Use good ATI GPU card only

You can mine with any scrypt setup, this isnt a CPU only coin.

Is a pretty common site.

last week some dutch tech site build a 'cheap' litecoin/dogecoin mining machine

1  AMD Athlon II X2 340 Boxed    € 33,71    € 33,71
1  Asus F2A55-M LE    € 46,37    € 46,37
2x Club3D Radeon HD 7870 '13Series    € 141,50    € 283,-
1  Rasurbo BC-10    € 23,56    € 23,56
1  Transcend JetRam JM1333KLU-2G    € 19,38    € 19,38
1  be quiet! System Power 7 450W € 51,-    € 51,-
Total € 457,02

But ofcourse you can buy 2x more expensive graphic cards etc.
Hope it helps a bit, also tweaking underclocking/overclocking parts the system a bit, can improve the speed, and the watt used.
