Consensus is probably going to have a big impact, as it always does:

...but we've to figure out the alts which are going to get the best pump, and I think the following information gives a good idea regarding that:

Alts which are included are already getting pumped up. Buying dips and selling the jumps for the above coins is my current strategy, and I'm going to keep it like that until the end of consensus.

What are you top picks in that bunch?

Also who are the major sponsors, any keynote speakers.  If there are keynote speakers they are the ones to watch for big announcements and jump in price.

It is hard to determine that since market is very irrational but by lookin at this and considering project as well, I think sonm will be the one that has the best impact on the people on consensus 2018.

Yes Consensus will be big as always I am looking forward to it. I have heard that they are over crowded, which means that more and more poeple are jumping into crypto space. I hope to see a huge news.

We are all waiting for that thing every year this event do really give impact into market price and now we are seeing price dips which possibly be the last price we would see on this year. After consensus there would be a price increase and basing into those statistics above high chance that we would see the same thing on different percentage this time. I have heard or read out the participants on that consensus is on 7500 i dont if it was right but rest assured positivity would really be there and might this one starts up the bull run.

This year's consensus conference is biggest of them all, so we can expect the biggest impact this year, someone in telegram said that the potential gain this year in next 2 months can be 2-5x depending on the coin, some will perform better than others so choose wisely.

Why does oax not make speech? It is sponsor as I know. I expect it to have impact on consensus this year or regarding this speeches, does money talks?  ::) well let's see

My personal top picks from that list are SNM, Steem and AION. As far as i know SONM is also one of the major sponsors together with VEN, ARK, XLM and ICON.

Thanks for sharing the list. I am also waiting on what Consensus outcome. I mean what could be the eye-opening mind-blowing happenings or news that might actually help the entire crypto space into something more solid, strong and full of a bright path ahead. We all know this disruption and changes in the almost all industry is inevitable.

in my opinion that the consensus in this year will not so impressive just like what has already happened last year. Consider crypto is already reached high price this year and it will give a little impact to the major crypto just like bitcoin but a huge impact to the altcoins. That's my opinion regarding the next consensus.

Good news for holders of XRP, it seems like there will be price increases as many predict.

if we look at the table you share, then the increase always happens every year and we hope the consensus this year will be more on the growth and increase in the price of crypto.

Yes a lot of very positive projects you mentioned there. Excuse my shill, but take a look at Terra Virtua which is demoing new VR platform there.

I just hope consensus impact has not been priced into the prices of some of these project. A lot of people were saying consensus is positive for the market, data show that but one thing I have observed in the space is that people have the information now and are pricing this events into the price of these tokens. I hope we see great gains also this year

Regardless, most of the projects there will likely see a good increase in price and snowballing of exposure over the coming months, personally I'm betting on SONM and ARK

Overall I hope Consensus 2018 will lead to a wider adoption of crypto in general. The more people/organizations which are involved, the better it will be.

TLDR: it seems like the Consensus historically pumps the value of Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies.

I'm investing in some of the coins listed on there today in anticipation of possible pumps during/after consensus.

I have very high hopes for Consensus 2018. I hope that thanks to him my altcoins will get out of the pit. It may be naive, but I really believe so.

Speakers information only tells us about project representatives that participating in consensus event. So It depends on the speaker's ability, their coin or token price will go up if the speakers are able to present the information well and investors are interested in their projects

Really crazy what is going on with the bitcoin price since this event started. Does anyone know what it is pumping so hard right now? Seems like retraces are not allowed anymore! :D People are going crazy again :)

I read a article and some infographics saying that the last three consensus events have always brought a small bull run.Can we expect a similar bull run ?

The consensus (pardon the pun!) among most people mentioning Consensus 2018 is that it should start a good rise during and after this conference. History repeats is the hope.

I think waves will be the most gainer of the consensus 2018, as it released its smart contract, that really will be huge so probably lots of guys seeing it on consensus will buy it.

I too waiting to see some good spike after this conference. As the chart shows the spike in the time at good level. So wait for sometime to see how the price fluctuation will go better in the market.
Since it has the announcement for 3 days we cannot surely what should be impact on the market like everyone expect as positive value.

Just like or basing on previous years we do see how this event do mainly give affect into marketprice which is definitely having a price increase might not be big bumps but its really good to see some gains after a long time on bearish trend.If this would gradually continue then this thing might be the sparker to start up again the bull run into this season.Most people are having that kind of view.

Consensus began already, we are at the end of the first day.
Last years had huge impact on the coins. I am not that old in this market and I am not sure if the FUD was at this level the years before.
I think good news with good companies, such as Microsoft announcing that they will support crypto market (just as an example) the impact will be more than huge.
This year there are so many attendants, let's hope and wait for tomorrow to be a bright day.

Be calm, there is no magic wand. These are opportunities to make agreements and plan future actions whose results will only be seen in the next few months

I want to believe that after the world conference will take place global changes in the world of cryptocurrencies for the better.

This will be a big breakthrough this year. At the end of the conference, I hope that the international community will change its opinion about cryptocurrency and understand that it is an integral part of market relations.

The consensus is nothing but to get more exposure for the crypto market, recently only a few companies are supporting but when things are progressing many companies will start supporting the cryptocurrency. As we already know, last year we have seen the very huge impact on cryptocurrency.

I bought ZEC according to this list and gain + 40% just in several hours! Will try to buy SONM and POLYMATH today.

As long as you are certain about its growth in keeping till the end of this year, is really appreciated. Everyone expects that all altcoins' values will grow higher than last year. Every coin is expected to go to the moon. Especially Bitcoin, ETH, ECH values would certainly boom up. This is predicted by many experts. Hope to have a good growth starting this month in every coin.

At first I thought my alts will grow with Consensus but apparently I am wrong... will hope the market will be better after it though

Nice thread OP, Consensus is definitely bringing a good impact in the market right now, during this time, high volumes of trades are putting in those coins and tokens participating the consensus. Hope everyone will make a good fortune.

People think its meant to be instant impact but do you really think big and smart investors will sit at the a coins consensus and immediately go on binance and buy that coin? No they will make a smart calculated decision which may take a x amount of time after consensus.

Sadly, Consensus is all but done yet we haven't experienced any boost in crypto market value yet.

I wonder what all the big players did during the conference. I'm thinking they probably had some under-the-table manipulation moves that were schemed in order to profit from the very volatile market that is cryptocurrencies.

Yes conference didn't have any influence to price at all. Price go down during conference and just recently price has grown up for a little . So we can say that market didn't mention conference. Maybe that's cause market became more stable and older. Year ago before huge money came to the crypto all people here was enthusiastic and believed in crypto. They came not just for money and didn't look to the price. Now we have huge BTC holders with a lot of money and they can do anything what they want with this market.

Consensus 2018 is over. Strong price changes Bitcoin, we have not seen, nor the growth of which many were waiting for, the price even slightly decreased. Some Alts on the news of the Speakers have grown well. Perhaps the market is becoming more stable and good, because "smart" and "big" money and companies will come to the stable market.

We need more times to see the results of this activity. Look at the chart of last 3 years. You are going to see a bullish trend after the consensus. There is some price increase during the consensus too but the real increase is coming after.

I think consensus 2018 is already over. Some people think that their altcoins will grow because of consensus but it didn't.

Consensus event is over and the impact on Bitcoin and altcoin prices is negligable. That is the problem with fundamentals - market players interpret fundaments and then decide to buy or sell. Apparently, this year's Consensus wasn't interpreted as positive/bullish as years before. 

Consensus always bring good new and I am sure this years own will not b different as prices will be increased and there will be no dip as there are more people coming into the crypto community recently. Even has the consensus is over and we still haven't seen the impact on most coin, I think it will still come. We should not fell bad about it already.

it seems like the bears are back and they are crushing everyone else with their dumps and shorts and ... for the time being i don't see anything capable of fighting them and defeating their manipulation and reverse this dumb trend. we have to accept $8k bitcoin for now until they run out of coins to dump.

To be honest, many positive news for crypto money from the G20 summit, even if the whispers spread, the impact on the markets was very limited. I think a similar situation will happen in consensus activity. Most likely, vicious discussions will continue and perhaps have a negative impact on prices.

Consensus 2018 has so far remained unsuccessful in providing the pump which Consensus of previous years provided. However, there's a good chance that this was sort of a bull trap and now the post-consensus pump will pop up.

As long as the support of $7800 remains in sight, there's no need to worry IMO.

I think it is too early to worry about the results of the consensus. This kind of thinks needs times. Yea I know last years there was a pump during the consensus but this year is different. People want to see some solid development, not just rumors.

I am very disappointed with the outcome of the consensus. Let's see if there's a chance that things will change, I hope.

This crypto market is fully monopolized now, its no more decentralized but infact if fully centralized controls by big whales.

For now, I don't see any big impact, unfortunately, only ZEC was PUMPed but I don't think this is an influence of the Consensus because 2 coins were added to Gemini ZEC, BCH, ETC and only Zec was pumped.

All though the impact is not really feel as of now but consensus will  gradually increase the popularity because it will become a topic in which will talk about specially in social media and will boost the trust and confidence of the investors.

the support at $8000 i so much more important than anything else and it has been holding so far.

consensus bring opposite impact to crypto, though I believe that the booming of market will soon reach all time high but maybe delayed a little since there are some major issues happening.

Controlled by the big whales and this is what we have believed since then. But I really think that these whales are contented with the profit they got now.

They would love to pump the market again and it's not their goal to make everyone rich but due to the fact when they pump the market again, many new small and big investors will be encouraged to invest which can be their potential profit again.

So consensus 2018 is over and sadly, nothing much has happened to the value of coins. Some have even experienced a steep decline in value.

I feel like everyone was able to see through the shill-fest that it was, and disillusioned by all the hype, people sold. That however, does not at all waiver my belief that crypto will flourish in the future. We just need to withstand the ups and downs for now and just hodl.

We need to give the investors some time to digest all the updates from Consensus 2018. Even in 2017, the price rise started a few days after Consensus so next week should be up hopefully.

Finding a common voice and consensus is always a big challenge for us and the virtual currency market if there is agreement, then we will all come to the end of the journey, the consensus is always good.
