Title: I accidentally the whole thing ... I sent btc to my dvc wallet.
Post by: RumblesNZ on December 20, 2013, 07:56:56 AM
Hey guys,

I have been alt coin trading for a few weeks now and yesterday I made a massive mistake.

I sent 0.9btc to my dev coin wallet on vircurex. I have made similar mistakes before but usually it gets rejected. However this one got processed! I checked the blockchain info and it is still getting confirmations, but I obviously can't access the money. I spoke to the vircurex guy and he said the Devcoin doesn't have a "dumprivkey feature" which would reject coin deposits if it was the incorrect coin.

Is there any way to recover the coins? I worked hard for those :P

Thanks in advance.

The only thing you can do now is contact vircurex.
Only the site has the private key to the address.

Have you got a link to the transaction on the blockchain?

Guess you should contact their support as well.
Judging from OP's experience, I guess it will not be a problem.
Good luck! :)

Well, if you read the thread, you will see that the BTC were refunded. So, yes you can.

Always a pleasure to hear about good customer service!
Adds up nicely to their reputation too, in the end it pays
off to be decent!
