Title: Anybody notice how long encrypting a drive takes? Post by: theGECK on February 23, 2011, 10:33:47 PM I'm sitting here at work until TrueCrypt is done encrypting a drive so I can use it for off-site backups. Just thought I'd share, since I have another 4 hours until it's done, and it's been going for 1.5 hours already.

It connects via USB 1.0 speeds, and I have to use the drive because that's the drive they have for backups. I can't even say, "Oh well, at least I'm getting paid for it" because I'm salaried!
