Title: Was scammed by someone from Localbitcoins
Post by: Triton on December 21, 2013, 07:26:11 AM
I previously posted about being scammed by lencom. Someone apparently used a pseudonym to contact me.

Now through some conversations with other members it appears that lencom is posing as me on localbitcoins and getting paid via scamming another party for money and trading them for bitcoins. This is identity theft...

Lencom has verified his telephone number and his email on localbitcoins. I was wondering how to contact localbitcoins to stop this scammer and get a hold of him/her?

File a police report and have them demand it.

You mean have the police contact localbitcoins?

I've filed a police report, could I contact localbtc myself?

No keep posting on a forum about it, I'm sure that'll help.

No reason not to, I guess, but they probably won't release information directly to you without a demand from a law enforcement agency.
