We are sorry for lack of graphical Windows client. We spent hours compiling, but final result was unstable and crashed. The publication schedule was announced in advance, so we had to publish the coin anyway. We will look into this tomorrow.

Command line mining is explained in readme-windows.txt. If you are using Linux, your best bet would be compiling ulicoin-qt, which is very easy.

Network hashrate is 1133582 at the moment. There are over 60 users. This means it will be difficult for anybody to mine coins without a pool.

We are looking for people willing to start a pool, because we can't start a pool today.

I managed to find 3 blocks unfortunately only 2 of them were credited and 7 were orphaned. and i am mining for now only with 12 khash/s so there is some possibility for solo mining atm.

you set your username in the ulicoin.conf file in your roaming folder. get it from the downloaded directory and modify it with notepad. u will have rpcpassword rpcuser to set and use localhost:6092 as url

High reject rate is normal in solo mining with low difficulty

The weird thing is that solo-mining this gives the same miner responses as when mining on a pool with vardiff. Never seen anything like it when mining to a local daemon. As if the daemon is just proxying hash power to somewhere else.

More likely the pool having issues. That, and a lot of solo miners nabbing the blocks first.

The network hashrate has come down to about half already. If anyone still feels this is worth betting on by the morning, a pool or two should pop up tomorrow.

Found 17 blocks, now it's too hard for solo.

Mhmm, as soon as the diff went up to 0.0625 my 1300 kH/s turned almost useless for soloing. I managed to make about 110k Ulis up until now. I suspect that they may at best, assuming that Cryptsy or other exchange takes them in, yield a sale totalling a dollar or two :P

Coz it's console wallet, daemon. Open cmd in wallet folder and type commands:

ulicoin getinfo
ulicoin getmininginfo
ulicoin stop

Don't forget to copy conf file to  "c:\Users\Username\AppData\Roaming\Ulicoin\".

How Can I find the network hashrate ?

In the graphical client:
"Help" menu -> Choose "Debug Window".
Switch to "Console" tab.
Type "getmininginfo" in the commanline

You'll see line like this:
"networkhashps" : 11200366

Which is the hash rate, in this case it is 11 MH/sec

Or you should be able to calculate it from the difficulty and from the time between blocks (the real time, not the planned, as difficulty retargeting may be a bit behind the reality)

There is no GUI client yet for windows, but the Ulicoin.exe daemon is sufficient to start mining on windows.

so you cancel the coin and wanna start with a new one, why would you leave it on Github and leave the seed node up ? Folks might not know it is dead and waste their resources on a coin that is dead

I don't get why the fact that there is no sexy gui for windows users makes it unfair.
There was a windows client and it was working fine you just need an IQ of at least 100 to be able to read the 4 or 5 sentences of instructions available here and there to get ready.

That IQ requirement does not make it particularly unfair, you need a computer , you need to be able to switch it on... indeed.

Access to larger audience will come on time. Launch is allways unfair , the first one in the queue according to some criteria gets served, period. If you want to be on the first line get a brain, get rid of that windows , put some distrib, and type in the two dummy commands to get started.

well yeah I was thinking the same thing, but it looks like they can not get the windows-QT wallet working at all, so well it you dont have a working windows GUI , little chance of adaptation of the coin. because the masses really want that and well you do make the impression of not having your act together if you dont have a windows GUI, the linux GUI is excellent even better then the Quark GUI on linux

I don't know much of the technical side of cryptos myself but people on that imageboard say he's just trolling. OP figured out he lacks IQ to create GUI wallet so he gave up and decided to scare people by telling it was a botnet or something. With the net hashrate Ulicoin had it would be impossible to make 800 LTC in that short time. Also, since everyone was mining solo they could have not find a single block of LTC.
