Title: Question to CGMiner
Post by: Alexoc on December 22, 2013, 12:46:42 PM
I have a question to CGMiner

Here the picture to my question

CGMiner shows for

GPU 0 746 Khas and WU: 668/m

and

GPU 1 706 Khas and WU: 673/m

Now my question. What is the more important value? The Khas or the WU.
Is it better to have a higer WU value and lower Khas or is it the other way around better?

They are interconnected.

A Work Unit (WU) is i.e. a share at a pool. The more WUs per minute, the more shares you are getting, the bigger your income. A high WU figure implies a high Khash/s figure.

Khash/s is the amount of times you try to solve a WU a second. The higher this figure, the more likely it is to solve a WU, the more likely it is you'll solve the share.

The closer these numbers are to each other the more efficient your miner is running!

Thank you. I think I have understood so far. But why does GPU 0 has more shares than GPU 1? The khash and WU fro GPU 1 are higher than GPU 0. So GPU 1 should have more shares?

PS: Both GPUs are R9 280X
