Title: when I google "paypal alternatives" Bitcoin doesnt appear in the results!
Post by: Bro on August 19, 2011, 11:16:59 AM

According to google adsense, there are 3,600 searches monthly for the exact terms "paypal alternatives" and 12,100 monthly of equivalent searches.

But when I google "paypal alternatives (http://bitcoin.org)",  bitcoin.org is nowhere to be found

This is 12100 potential new bitcoin users per month!!

How can I help? By making links with those specific keywords

  • If you have a website, give a link to bitcoin.org using "paypal alternative" or "paypal alternatives" keywords
  • If you don't have a website, post on forums with those keywords pointing to bitcoin.org or wikipedia.org/wiki/bitcoin like I just did in this post! I bet you are a regular on many many forums with offtopic sub-forums where you can post about bitcoin! anyone can help the cause!

in BB Code:
Code:
[url=http://bitcoin.org]paypal alternatives[/url]

No need to make it as dishonest/spammy as "Paypal alternatives" (claiming plural), most search engines (including Google) will include links containing "Paypal alternative" and "alternative to Paypal" in results for that query.

Isn't that what bro is trying to increase?

By the way, here is a replacement for paypal (http://bitcoin.org).

I wonder how many search via that phrase.

Virtually every forum or blog comment system uses nofollow tags...  nothing good will come from that.   Use a website you own.
