A big thanks to everyone who participated in our Beta! DarkBet will now go offline in anticipation for our launch later this year.

We hope all of you return at our launch, which will be announcement in this forum and via email.

We are very thankful for all the help and support. Almost daily we have received emails and PM's with suggestions and interest from people who just want to help out. Which says a lot about this community!

PS. There are still some users that have not withdrawn their BTC balance, so we urge everyone to do that asap. For those who for some reason are unable to do so before we go offline, we will have a landing page with contact information and we will always be available via this forum account.

Hi, yes, everything has been built by us (apart from the poker client which we bought, and improved upon)

Early in 2014 we hope to start releasing our first casino games and not long after the Lottery.

Meanwhile both the Poker and Sportsbook is available for use, although with some restrictions until we feel confident enough about it.

The support email and sportsbet issue has now been solved. Apologies for the inconvenience.

A minor thing but the way you are listing english football is odd. It should be the top leagues (prem) and then downwards through the leagues.

it looks like the "The Daily 50 Sat" had a bug today.

when tournanment started i sat alone at a table and two people at another table. after one of them busted the other player was set to my table with double stack.

and btw i cant find any "The Daily 50" at the lobby.

having the minimum number of players for the 100 gtd silver freeroll at 40 seems a bit optimistic to me , doubt they will run at all then - just my 2 cents  :)

I agree 40 is way to high if that is correct. All the other freerolls have only min 2 players requirement.

I will reduce it to 10, which seems reasonable I think. Once our promos get going that should be achievable:)

the daily 10 hasnt run so far , it has a 10 player minimum. all other freerolls have been running more or less , player numbers werent higher than 5 up till yesterday if i rememberr correctly tho so a slight traffic boost would make the 10 player min tournaments run for sure - agreed.

Regarding the satellite issue, we think it might have solved it. a few of them had defaulted and received wrong parent tournament, which I assume a few of you guys had registered for. This explains the "you are already registered in the parent" message.

This should be solved now, I've just gone through the whole tournament schedule, however bare with us if the issue returns. Just let us know and we will do our best.

Regarding the "100mBTC silver+ freeroll" it should now have a  "min 10 players" limit, instead of 40. (will be 10 for this and probably next week depending on how our promos work out)

Couple of more changes to the tournament schedule:

1. We have added 2 tickets to both the "Daily Bitcoin sat" and the "Daily 25 sat"
2. The "EA 50mBTC freeroll" has been scheduled to run every 7 days. (will most likely return to daily once our userbase grows)

The "Rakerace box" is now working and 500mBTC is up for grabs!

For anyone who is not aware, there is a 500mBTC rakerace ending in 2weeks with not that much competition. Just raking 1 hand at the med limits would be = 1place :)

We are removing the satellites now, as they are still not working as intended. ETA on them to reappear is about one week.

Regarding the freeroll, yesterday we starting one of many promotions which will increase the player base. All the freerolls will run, maybe not all of them the next couple of days however.

Guys, our goal is not to run freerolls for a small group of players. We are in a Beta, so our focus is to test everything and slowly release all features awaiting our official launch.

We greatly appreciate everyone who is participating though and some of you have been greatly rewarded already. There is still great value in our tournament schedule and the only change is a "+5 player requirement on the daily freerolls (+ some of the other tournaments have had their limit decreased)

Soon we will launch our first casino game alongside a range of marketing initiatives, hopefully that fills those 3-5 seats ;)

Notserp you are correct about the sportsbook btw, we have thus far received more than 200 bets, so its way more active than poker. Hopefully some of those will migrate towards poker later.

We are in the process of releasing our casino and starting a few marketing initiatives. The fact that we increased the freeroll player requirement from 5 players to 10 is a non issue. However I do understand the frustration, as it was one of the best value bitcoin poker promotions. A few players have profited up to/around 500mBTC already.

Regarding tournament schedule value, I was simply referring to the overlay. A few of those have had their "min requirement decreased to 5 players" which ironically gives player more value then the daily freerolls, however then with a small risk.

With that said, I do understand your frustration/annoyances with some of the freerolls not running yesterday and today. However keep in mind that we are in a Beta and that DarkBet's main priority is to build a safe and functioning platform. If you decide to stick around and support us though, I can guarantee you and the other early adopters will be rewarded longterm. Emphasis on longterm :)

Please everyone else who wants to discuss the latest changes, please read through the latest posts, ask our support team and remember that we are in a Beta/testing phase.


It was previously changed to "min 5 players" then in anticipation of our casino and marketing incentives increased to "min 10 players" which is still ridiculously low and regardless we shouldn't have to justify it, given that we are in a Beta. It's still a lot of great value in our tournament schedule and in fact we reduced the requirement for a lot of the guaranteed tournaments which actually increases the overall promo value

In other words this change is only bad for those who want to play only freerolls with as little competition as possible.


It has not been removed, it was simply made a weekly freeroll instead of a daily as I've pointed out several times.  I think everyone can understand the reasoning behind that.


As most of our Beta testers are aware and as I pointed out a few posts earlier there was an issue with the satellites forcing us to remove them temporarily. They should be back within a week.


No, that is not correct. Actually the next guaranteed tournament that is scheduled to start is a 50mbtc guaranteed turbo with a min requirement of 5 players (only 5mBTC buyin)

I think you might be confused with how our tournament table system work. As I pointed out in a few posts ago some changes can take up to a week to settle. Regarding those gtts that has "min 10 player" requirement it should be obvious as to why, some of them have pricepools ranging from 200-400mBTC and we simply cant justify giving that good of deal, even though we appreciate our Beta tester greatly. The overlay as of now is 2x, which is a lot compared to most sites


It has literally been less than 24hours and we are in a Beta. As i pointed out earlier they will run, maybe not yesterday and today but they will soon enough. Our priority is not to provide freerolls to a handful of players, we are trying to build a safe and function platform that works :)

That it true, that text has not been written with our Beta restrictions in mind. I will have someone edit that text so its clearly understandable that the combined prizepool is 500mBTC during Beta.



I think most people are aware that our "online player ticker" is broken, it says 0 , but there are several people registered for tournaments as we speak. I pointed this out in an earlier post as well and we are working in fixing it.

im not here for the frerolls im always regged for all grt and often waiting for players on cash tables but i don´t get anything running. so what happens if people make the same expierence?  right they withdraw and play somewhere where something runs. or won´t even deposit because if nothing runs why should i deposit?

wow. sick brainfart. u should realize people will most likely try out ur freerolls first to check out the software etc before they put money on a site they have never heard of. so it is crucial they run whenever they r offered.

Guys, relax. The fact that we increased the min requirement to 10 players is not the end of the world. In a few days they will run normally so I honestly don't understand why some of you are upset.

Some of you have made around 500mBTC already, that's more than $400

Remember we are in a Beta, we are trying to test everything and find bugs. This obviously includes the tournament schedule etc. we could of course have a "min 2 player" requirement as we did on day 1, but why would we keep it that way, it would literally give DarkBet zero value in return for a lot of Bitcoin spent.

So please, for now the requirement will remain 10 players, which will easily fill out soon. In the meanwhile myself and the team will continue to improve and work on the platform in anticipation for our official launch.

Again though, we greatly appreciate all the help. We have already found a lot of bugs and things that needs to be improved.

i think you you made a small mistake the correct statement whould be :

I have a feeling it will run, more than 20 new registrations today.

The "min 10" player requirement will probably stay for a long period, we just couldn't leave it at 2 and 5 as it served little purpose giving the same 3-5 players that good value. If we had a bit larger budget then maybe. Hope you understand :)

Woops forgot I wrote that, so many changes and small adjustments. Honestly I think its a mistake and regardless if it was at the time it was written it would make zero sense to increase it if our userbase/activity doesn't grow accordingly.

Most likely it will stay min 10 players.

We obviously want that Silver VIP freeroll to run, if not it would not serve any purpose and simply just annoy all our loyal Beta testers. But on the other end we also have to protect our self against situations were just a couple players end up winning it each time, which would also not be good for us as the whole purpose of a freeroll is to attract new players. So if it doesn't do that, then we cant let it run with a low "min player" requirement.

I think we have discussed this to the death though. Hopefully the VIP freeroll runs today, if not we will reevaluate make new efforts next week! :)  

Btw, it cant be said enough but we are very thankful to everyone who is participating and helping us out. Especially grindandbearit who is not only active here but also trying to start tables etc.

I saw it as well just now, the change had already been made. I've kicked the registered player, deleted the freeroll and recreated it to clear up any confusion.

Btw, there are two silver vip freerolls. The other one has min 10 players as it should, however that one has yet to load in the client.

Yes, it has been 50mBTC since our launch, (says so on promo page) however I checked in on our previous promo thread and that one had a 10 mBTC deposit requirement.

To beat that and also ensure the VIP freeroll runs for you guys I've reduced the deposit requirement to 5mBTC. Hopefully it runs, really hope so :)

how long does it take until sng rake is added to the leaderboard? i played one about an hour ago and leaderboard still shows same rake like before.

The rake should update continuously, however please note that we do not charge rake on pots lower than 0.5

I will look into the sng rake thing asap, should be added already.

I think you found a bug, seems like sng rake is not counted in our internal system. Same goes for mtts I would assume.

This will take some time to fix, so we will rename the rakerace, or add a text that clearly lets everyone know that it only applies to cashgame tables for now.

Btw, both VIPP and DBP works both for sng and mtts luckily. So an alternative solution might be to change the rakerace to a VIPP race or something.

For the record, this is a very generous gest from us, given that the satellites had registration issues causing a huge overlay and also the fact that the tickets are ontop of the regular tournament price, which you received.

Hi, I think you misunderstood me a little. Ill address your concerns.

As I wrote in my post your account has been credited with tickets for another tournament, so if we pay you the full amount instead of waiting until our satellites issue is solved, you will receive more than you won. (there is no way for us to remove satellites tickets from players accounts) and secondly the last ticket was won after we made the promise to reimburse you the two tickets should we not be able to fix the issue shortly.

On top of this you won the tickets in a period almost no players were able to register for them, which caused a huge overlay. So overpaying in this case would be a bit much and set a precedence we don't want. Especially considering that we are in a Beta, and issues like these should be expected by everyone participating.

I think most sites would have just apologized and asked you to wait until the issue was resolved.

Regarding the freeroll issue, we were planning a lot of promotions which we thought would almost guarantee that they would run within a couple of days. Therefor, the change seemed like it would only affect those who wanted to play them right now, not thinking what would be the best/logical decision for the DarkBet longterm.

In addition we knew that if we missed with our prediction we would make adjustments and look for alternative ways to continue with the freerolls. which we have. At no point did I mean or say that "all our players just want to play the freerolls", that is not true ;)

looks like your rake system in not really working or this statement is completly wrong.

i played a couple of hands on the 2/4 limit and won about 130 chips but rake was 0,075 mbtc.

after that i gave the guy the chance on winning some chips back flipping down 50 chips on 1/2 and won another 150 chips after a few flipps. when i left the table i had 199,70 chips left from the 50 i took to the table and the 150 the other guy had. so you took 0,3 mbtc rake which does not look like 2%.
it should be 2mbtc each flip i think.

I have personally looked at your account were it says that you have 3 tickets to the steambits.com tournament. However as everyone is aware the satellite system is disabled so they are nonfunctional atm. So, nothing satellite related is working.

If you keep saying that "I'm lying" or "stealing funds" or anything like that you will not be welcome at DarkBet anymore. We are trying our best to build a great service and accusations like this is very serious and harmful.

Yes, it appears as the issue is that our "max rake" limit is set to low, will be fixed shortly.

Regarding the TFA, you have a point. In the future we will offer more choices and better ways for users to secure their account. meanwhile however it should be sufficient. For those who want they can enabled TFA on their email account as well and then be completely safe :)

An bug caused the system to default to 0.05 mBTC in max rake. With this fix its back where it should be at 2mBTC.  40x more than before! (still very low however compared to most poker sites)

Also remember that in all pots below 0.50 no rake is charged, temporarily.

no not a single tournament... people only see canceled tourneys so they don´t even try to register anymore but it looks like db don´t care...

You guys are correct, I think this warrants an explanation because we do not want anyone to think that we don't care.

The issue is multi-layered.

1. We are in a Beta, so all our focus is towards the overall platform and right now we are in the most demanding face of them all. Soon our casino will launch along with a flashpoker-client and some overall system upgrades. (And lots more we are keeping secret for now) ;)

2. We are also working on completing our VIP system, which will include a play-through requirement function. This has proven to be a lot more difficult than we thought, given the fact that we have to identify what is "play-through requirement funds" and not and then revamp our cashout system (which is a complicated beast) - all this in order to make the experience for the users smooth and hassle free.

Because of these two things above, the freeroll restructuring and the tournament schedule in general have stayed unchanged and unfortunately will be so until we are able to deploy the new additions mentioned above.

When we do though, we will time it with some promotions and hopefully get the tables going :)

Hi guys, cashouts are working fine, however user grindabit is having problems initiating a cashout so we will process his manually.

The site is very much alive, hundreds of bets last month, although poker as of yet is still inactive.

We have decided it would be best to take DarkBet offline in anticipation for our launch, meanwhile myself and the team will be able to continue improving the platform in a more stress-free environment.

continuing the Beta while we work on these last major implementation would not be a pleasant experience for our users, so we unanimously decided that this was the best course of action. On the bright side, this will greatly speed up the progress and even allow us to make some new improvements and additions.

We are very thankful for everyone who has participated in the Beta, the contribution has been beyond what we had expected. A lot of you have emailed and PM'd us about suggestions, bugs and overall made a huge contributions to DarkBets future.

We recommend that those who have funds in their accounts withdraw these before 1. April, however we will be answering PM's and emails contentiously until our launch in case someone missed this email/announcement.

PS. All VIPP, DBP and BTC balances will be kept, as well as any user history and logs.

We hope everyone returns for our launch and thanks again for all the support!

Another player contacted us saying his cashout did not register, we are looking into this issue again.

We are manually processing those cashouts that for some reason are failing.

The website looks legit and interesting. I would be more confident to join here if it is 100% provably fair website. You can get a lot more players if it has a fair gaming system because most of the bitcoin casino websites are provably fair. Maybe you can add this on your next upgrade soon. What do you think?

just did a cashout...looks like cashout is working again but cashout form is not working 100%. had to klick a couple of times at the btc adress form field before the cashout button was not greyed out anymore.

When you are going to launch you site with more features its long time but no updates about this

Great, yup we are aware. Will be fixed before we launch :)

If I'm not mistaken the issue happens when you click on a browser saved address (which is the safest/recommended thing to do), but our cashout system doesn't register it for some reason, so you will have to delete one letter and retype it. Very annoying but luckily should not be difficult to fix.

There is a huge list of major improvements and new additions that will be available upon launch

Most notably, the flashpoker client, the complete betting engine, an affiliate portal, casino games, the "history function" and much more

Regarding time-frame we are not sure, but within 2014. Some of the major additions are just a few days away from completion.

We really hope all of you guys return and try us out then, would be very appreciated.

The website was in beta phase and went offline a few days back to get themselves sorted out before the launch.
They are also planning a new website and if you this was all announced before. You can probably read it in the previous posts of this thread.
