Title: Cryptsy Fail - Beware!
Post by: Graf on December 22, 2013, 07:03:38 PM
It's probably already been said a thousand times, but I just wanted to reiterate how terrible Cryptsy has been for me.  Every phase of the trading process has been broken and it has taken multiple days and tickets to deposit, withrdrawal, or confirm trades.  I currently have two withdrawals which have been pending for almost three days. The value of these coins has halved since I submitted the request.  Where does that value go - Cryptsy's pockets maybe?  It's made worse by the fact that they don't reply to my tickets and make no public announcements regarding the problems.

I tried to be understanding and assume they're honest and just working through growing pains, but I can't be naive anymore. With zero communication and serious problems with every transaction, they are being irresponsible at best, and possibly criminal.

Please do not give Cryptsy your business.  During this whole time Coins-E and Vircurex have both been trading quickly and accurately.  If and when I finally get my last withrawal out of Cryptsy I will not be going back.

I've had a few issues with cryptsy (negative account balances, missing trades) but after opening a ticket all the issues have been resolved pretty quickly (by the next day). At least to me, the services cryptsy provides aren't provided elsewhere; the benefits of the large selection of coins plus the large volume of trades more than make up for the hiccups here and there. I also believe they will eventually get everything ironed out smoothly so I personally won't be moving away anytime soon.

The only problem I've had with Cryptsy is the long deposit and withdraw times, but I have heard a number of horror stories recently. I'm keen to move to Vircurex but there is so little PPC volume there. Also, I wish you could adjust the timeframe on their graphs.
