Title: Where to get some basic knowledge about trading?
Post by: Roccker on December 23, 2013, 12:50:26 AM
Hi there

You know anything about where one could learn a bit about trading when one is a noob?
(Like sources or products or something)
Not 'learning how to earn money by trading'
but 'learning the basics of trading -> like something like what high/low volume could mean, how one can read an orderbook..'
For the purpose of trading bitcoin a bit.

Probably there is a vast base of material for some kind of other training that is very simillar to bitcoin trading (duh:))

Thanks for Tips, this would be just very nice

I'm doing this free course. It's pretty cool for learning the basics:

Reminiscences of a Stock Operator, is a good quasi fictional book about Jessie Livermore who won and lost fortunes in the 20s and 30s before any SEC prohibited various manipulation tricks we currently see with bitcoin trading.

Day Traders Bible by Richard Wykoff. It's available as a free pdf online.

Here's the best way to get some basic knowledge about trading:  Buy a small amount of bitcoin on an exchange.  Over the next month, make it your goal to turn the bitcoins you bought into more bitcoins.  Learn how to read market depth and google technical analysis and read some stuff about that.

Here's what you'll probably learn after a month.  HODL!

That is what I learned the first day I had an account here.  :)
