Title: custom transaction on blockchain.info ignores the mining fee I specify :(
Post by: Jace on December 23, 2013, 12:28:23 PM
When sending a custom transaction, I can manually choose the Sending and Receiving addresses and amounts, and also the miner's fee.

This always used to work OK. However I just noticed it now ignores whatever fee I specify. Instead, it insists on using its own amount (like 0.0002, probably based on the current suggested default of 0.1 mBTC per KB).

Note - I'm not talking about a regular default transaction or 'quick send' here, but a CUSTOM transaction!

Can this be fixed? Warning that the specified custom fee is lower than the default (as suggested by Bitcoin-Qt) is fine, but still DO allow me to specify my own fee nonetheless.

Blockchain.info is stuborn. I'm thinking of editing the code to change this, but until that happens, try making a custom tx with http://brainwallet.org/ (http://brainwallet.org/) (sadly only lets you use use 1 from address).

I use 0 all the time, if it's asking for a fee, you better do it

Did you notice a white button that lets you skip the fee?
