Title: My dumb question for the month of Dec
Post by: flexgroo on December 23, 2013, 02:56:13 PM
Ok this might be known to everyone but i havn't though about it much, and don't want to hurt my brain

Where do bitcoins come from?

I know we mine them, i know its all mathmatical horse power, to try and brake codes/blocks... but is there a server a main program is on? if there are many pools, say we only had 100 btc left till make, how do the pools know there is only 100 left? shurly they are not talking to eachother

not really sure i got that question across right though, lol

time for my meds i think

it is not mined from somewhere
more like it is "created"
every block "creation" depends on previous block so its all synchronized

Ehm Hi! :-)

I think you should read a bit more or may search some videos on youtube?
Maybe check here http://bitcoin.org/en/how-it-works and click a few links?

Long story short.. bitcoin is decentralised so there isn't any main server

Bitcoin is decentralized, there will never be a central server.
There are many, many, many bitcoin nodes all with the "bitcoin program" on it,
I would recommend reading the bitcoin wiki  ;D
