Title: Secure your positions
Post by: acoindr on August 20, 2011, 04:27:09 AM
Hi everyone,

As I mentioned in an earlier post I previously designed a non-inflationary monetary system (non-technology based) long before Bitcoin existed. I've been continuing my thought process, and to make a long story short I'll be posting a plan for Bitcoin growth soon.

This is a fairly complex topic, and as such the information is lengthy, so it will be in eBook form. (I suggest getting a nice cup of tea and snack ready for the read) I'm just finishing editing and formatting and will post it to this forum Saturday 8/20/11 around noon Pacific time. You'll probably want to secure your Bitcoin positions prior to any price increases. You have been warned...

A plan for whom?  For individuals, the community as a whole... your company?

How is just another eBook on some obscure (to the masses anyway) technical/economic subject  going to grab attention... aside from a post here? Are you publicizing this eBook somewhere else?
(or does it only need attention from some existing bitcoin users in order to acheive your mysterious aims?)

It's a plan for the Bitcoin community. The eBook/info is free. This isn't meant to be any kind of promotion, except for Bitcoin that is.

I had no plans of posting the info anywhere else. The heart of the community seems to be here on these forums. There is nothing mysterious about my aims, as they are the same as the community's aims, which is to see Bitcoin gain traction and growth.

Don't hype, just do it!

hyping up never works as anticipating it would

It's not about hype, I just thought I'd give everyone a heads up as I expect the Bitcoin price to jump.

it is no brainer that there is going to be rally soon or at least continuation of uptrend in the next few following days or weeks, with an ebook or without.

right now what you are doing is selling cat in a bag and telling us you got lion there, even if its free

There are about five thousand threads on this forum about moving the decimal point and changing the inflation/deflation policy.  This long post that you are hyping had better add something new to the discussion.

@Serge - what the price of Bitcoin does for now makes little difference, because it's currently all based on speculation. The plan I'm putting forth will not be affected by that one way or the other; it gives Bitcoin a base of value other than speculation.

@kjj - I guarantee you won't be disappointed.

Another bold statement... I will check back tomorrow.  8)

I'm sorry, but I can't take anything seriously that being propped up and hyped up before actually being presented.
No one sane will and should act on such 'advice'.  People would and are securing their positions in anticipation of upcoming rally due to current trends before anything else that may or may not add value in the future without knowing exactly what that is.

No need to apologize. It makes no difference to me what action anyone does or doesn't take.

The birth of this post was simply inspired by a desire to give fair warning. This gives people time, should they choose, to consider their position at current prices. It allows people access to the same information around the same time so no one misses an opportunity.

right, because now since the thread is made, NO ONE will miss this unknown, unspecified opportunity. consider mission accomplished.  8)

There may be no opportunity. The price may not change at all. I don't know. I'm just posting on expected possibilities. This post is informational, and really isn't anything more sinister than that. Although, I am amused at all the perfectly understandable suspiciousness.

Not only that - but unmeasurable as a standalone price-influence due to release on bitcoin conference day.
That's no doubt going to be true for various announcements coming out of the conference itself... but still..
if the OP makes claims that the price rise due to the eBook content will be large, the OP shouldn't be surprised if people are skeptical of this both before and after the release no matter what happens.

The masses are eagerly awaiting the release of an eBook that will drive Bitcoin through the roof. Positions secured. Everything ready except last touch ups on formatting. Should be any moment now!

The TL;DR for the eBook announcement is "BUY BUY BUY!!!" (notwithstanding the OP's claims that it's just an 'expectation')
...  so I think this is more a speculation than an announcement and should accordingly be moved to the speculation section.

Are you serious? An eBook?  :D

This is going to be good!

As others here have said upward trend looks good no matter what happens (eBook or not).

@julz - I'm not making any claims about price increases. Again, what the price does makes no difference to me. The release on the same day as the conference is coincidental, but yeah, it's true if we did see a spike it would be hard to credit it to any one event. Still, it matters not to me.

Wheres the report?

just release it in plain text already, we don't care about an eBook formatting

Title: Re: Secure your positions

@Serge - I'm still editing too, and that's only half the reason for the delay. I also want people to have the same opportunity to be exposed to the info at the same time. The only way to do that is make it available at an announced future time.
