Title: Bitcoin consantly losing value?
Post by: dustofdeath on December 24, 2013, 04:50:47 PM
What iv noticed is that bitcoin doesn't pick up anymore - its constantly losing value  - and even dropped as low as low as 4xx $.

Is the  difficulty together with the fbi, china etc news making people leave and give up the coin already? Everyone trying to  cash out fast and  try altcoins instead.

Check BTC prices at the beginning of Nov. BTC is not constantly losing value, in fact on the long run BTC value will keep increasing as more merchants accept the currency around the world.

LOL if bitcoin is losing value then leave this forum and leave your BTC at the door.
Go trade normal stocks for a while to gain some perspective.

No. This is due to Nxt pre-launch.

Yes, you are correct.  Bitcoin is constantly losing value.  In fact it will soon be worth less than $400 per BTC.  This could happen very quickly.  The best thing to do is to PM me and I will buy all of your BTC from you.  I really want to help you out so I will give you $450 per BTC.

I am just glad to be of service.

Wtb 3000btc @ $50. This was a fair price just last April, and since you say btc is constantly losing value, it must be an even better price today. If you try to dump this many btc on the open market now, it'll surely crash, so pm me today.

Never heard of it.

You should.
It will be the next big thing. Much bigger than all the scypt coins.
No massive power waste like all other coins. Very decentralized. Immune even to 90% attacks.
Fast. Just read about it, source code will be available on jan 3 2014.

You shouldn't. It's 100% pre-mine garbage.

Lot of people that bought in during the $1000-$1200 lost 50% of their value/investment.  ;D

You don't lose money unless you sell. Don't sell.

This is called the sunk costs fallacy.

The current situation does look a lot like mid-2011. I thought this already in April but at that time the crash was too early and too abrupt.

Guessing the bottom by comparing to 2011 is just an excercise in numerology but it would imply high double digits, in a few months.

high double digits, in a few months.

can only wish. however desirable that would be, it's not happening. the prolonged crash of 2011 was caused by one thing - uncertainty. would it be able to recover with one crappy exchange being hacked after another? Now everyone knows the answer, so the dips are bought out and there's much less panic selling.

Uncertainty about the legal situation of the two biggest exchanges perhaps?

I don't remember when there was any certainty about any of the exchanges :) They are always in the shadows. Well, all besides coinbase, they by some magic run a valid startup it seems.
