I'm new to the forum and do already some mining (GPU mining @ 600 Hashrate). I digged a few thousand Doge's but now I read about simple modifications which could add enormous amount of Gb's to a blockchain. These kind of things could ruin the currencies. Is this also valid for other currencies or is it just a bad written script for Doge? What i wanna know is, how easy could it be to modify these and future coins and how safe would our wallets be (even if offline because if affects everything). Just my thoughts and concerns a bit. I like to be part of this digital newbie stuff, though :) Title: Re: Best Wishes and asking about leak in Doge Post by: chreestopher on December 26, 2013, 03:04:36 AM its applicable to any coin that has low minimum transfer fees and low minimum transfer amounts, more likely with coins that are lower in value, as it would cost coins to do.

Please excuse me for my newbieness, but I am a bit confused about this portion where you spoke on people adding Gb's to block chains and causing havoc. Is this a recent development, because it would seem to me that something of that magnitude would be quite a major issue and would be patched once noticed. Do you happen to have a source so that I may read up on it? Thanks man. |
