Post by: The Cryptovator on May 16, 2018, 07:09:43 AM
You can make self moderated thread on Bitcointalk forum. There is no much benifite from it, but you can make if necessary. Only one benifite is that you can delete unwanted reply, spammer and scammer from your thread those you are not like. You can make thread self moderate only before post. After post you will not able to move it for self moderate. Most of section enable self moderate exclude "Meta". You will find it below " Additional options " as I attached below picture. Click "Additional options" and select " Self-moderated" then post.

The big advantage is that you can delete spam and rubbish, and close the thread when your question/point has been answered, and this prevents the thread becoming a spam fest, and leaving it open can affect your reputation here.

Actually the thread doesn't have to be self-moderated to do be closed, and it is a pity that more members don't close their threads when they have run their courses.

This point has both positive and negative aspects.
Positive:
Locked self-moderated topics: "Is a good sign for scammers" Awareness of these posts has increased, so there have been fewer confirmed scams on these topics.
Negative:
The excellent use of this feature depends on who publishes the topics; Many use it carelessly.

OP add this
The selfMod bit will now be permanently cleared when a non-mod moves a topic into a section which doesn't allow selfMod.
