Post by: sophiajinjinjin on December 26, 2013, 04:49:36 PM
Did anyone use the rock trading service before? Are they trustworthy? My funds are safe there?

Do you mean this site?

https://www.therocktrading.com/ (https://www.therocktrading.com/)

Their homepage says that they were created in 2007 as a Second Life insurance company. This exchange is kind of like virwox.com

Yes,  TRT was created in 2007 in Second Life but, since 2011, we have been handling BTC and other virtual currencies such as LTC and XRP.

In July 2013 TRT was incorporated in Malta as you can verify from our Incorporation Certificate:

https://www.therocktrading.com/en/pages/contact_us  (open Certificate of Incorporation)

TRT is also an official Ripple Gateway: http://www.xrpga.org/gateways.html

For any additional information you might have, please ask

Thank you

I've traded small amounts with them over the past few months. Seems to be pretty low volume. Never used them as a ripple gateway.

How much does it cost for deposit via SWIFT wire transfer? Is it free at the recipient bank? I read minimum 10 USD for sending out but no information for receiving.

Hello,

we do not charge any fee for deposits aside the ones from our bank.

You may review bank fees at: https://www.therocktrading.com/en/pages/fees

On top of our bank fees, you should verify your bank charges before making a transfer.

Also, as a side note, we cannot accept US Citizens and US residents transfers as you can read on our FAQ:

Is it possible to trade USD against BTC or any math coins?

Special note for US Citizens & US Residents: Sorry, even if we are a foreign Exchange with a USD bank account in Europe, we cannot allow US Citizens/residents to deposit or withdraw USD for the time being. In order to do so, we must get US federal licenses along with State licenses and we are not yet ready for it. USD trading is permitted for the rest of the world (please check with your local authorities if you are allowed).

Thank you

I've used this exchange and it's always been a nice & smooth experience. SEPA withdrawals took just a couple of days. They even accept OKPay for deposits. Highly recommended.

Hi,

I'm interested using riiple to send money for bitstamp from brazil....

What payment method that would be available for me using TRT as the initial gateway?

Payments methods are listed here: https://www.therocktrading.com/en/atms (https://www.therocktrading.com/en/atms)

Whatever you have on your therock balance, can be withdrawn into Ripple and
then you can try to send it to bitstamp.

But honestly, if you need to send money to bitstamp, you should directly send money
there with their deposit methods :-)

/paci

I traded there. Very good site, no problems. Good customer support.

SEPA cash in and SEPA cashout was very fast. Very good.

I wanna say two things one you have bumped the dead thread available in this forum which does not need your effort at all. Along with that if you have quieres or clarification you may take that to op via pm.
This can be partially considered as pm only.
@op lock it please to avoid the spams at all.

I don't see anything wrong with this, when what Coinfan posted was legitimate information against Rock Trading. This is perfectly relevant information, and by posting here, there won't be more people facing the same problems going onto the site. I generally don't like necroposting either, but in this circumstance it seems fine to me.

Why would you choose it? There are plenty of brokers to choose from... Visited their website and studied their terms and conditions. Whats the reason to choose them?
