Maybe news like that will hold off people to invest in crapcoins like dogecoin. But dogecoin wasn't hacked, it was online wallet that was. And they are at high risk. At start bitcoin had same issues. Anyway, news like these could put negative spin on bitcoin two, because journalists are ignorant and general public believes them without fact checking....
