Unless I'm missing something, YouTipIt is ... a tipping facilitator which happens to have user-generated content on the site itself. HubPages, Associated Content and other similar sites generate ad revenue from their UGC (like pretty much all other sites online these days) but also share a bit of the revenue with their publishers. We're talking about something like that, which happens to have Bitcoin as a payout option -- not something which is a closed-loop Bitcoin broker (ie. someone who knows or cares nothing about Bitcoin is vanishingly unlikely to start using it as a result of finding YouTipIt, and might contact an author to see if they want some PayPal, but in all likelihood will simply forget about it and move on.)

Post by: fm1234 on July 02, 2012, 09:08:26 PM YouTipIt (http://blog.youtipit.org/?p=379) is shutting down - could be an opportunity for someone who'd prefer to take over and restructure an existing site with a userbase, than trying to start an all-new operation.
