Title: S9 with low hashrate is one of my boards dead?
Post by: caxibrema on May 16, 2018, 12:20:57 PM
I suspect one of my boards are dead as I just see 126 asics and am hashing at ~9TH/s. What do folks generally recommend on doing it? It already passed the 3 month warranty. They come with a 6 month warranty now, id double check the serial number. Bitmains site has a warranty checker so you can confirm.

You either run the miner at 9th or you replace the board. You can replace it yourself if you are sure that you are no longer under warranty. Bitmain has been providing a 6 month warranty for their miners for a while now. You can always check with the serial number of your miner just in case:

Perfect. Thank you. Didn't know that.

Defs send it back. It has one dead board and two with ailing ASICs. I understand ASIC cores sort of decay over time but you really seem to have a lemon.

How many times have you restarted it? It's pretty common for these miners to have issues, and 99% of the time a few restarts will resolve them.
