Title: cgminer randomly freezes and takes cgminer-monitor.py with it Post by: ashen on December 27, 2013, 05:35:47 PM Hello, I use cgminer-3.7.2 on xubuntu 12.04 with latest cgminer-monitor and I got random freezes on both of my rigs. One rig has three 7850 radeons using latest stable amd drivers and second one has three r9-270x with latest beta drivers. When cgminer freezes, cpu usage of xorg rises to 100% and cgminer cannot be killed (even with -9) and cgminer-monitor stops responding - which is bad because that's the reason why I started to use it - to restart cgminer after freeze. Any idea what could went wrong? Should I try to use older version of cgminer or are those freezes normal? How are you monitoring your rigs? Thanks for suggestions

Try lowering the intensity and number of threads. |
