Hi all --- described on dogecoin as the "adorable little ponzi scheme" game, I'm not bringing my hot potato game to EarthCoin in the form of:

First up, I'll say this right off the bat -- this is a chain game. If you regard ALL chain games as scams, then you are not going to feel any differently about this one! I am saying this right here to save the mods from doing it :)

However, there is no trickery involved!

You sponsor a planet for a given price. When someone else takes over that planet's sponsorship, you get your original sponsorship amount back plus a profit.

If a planet is not re-sponsored in a given time frame, it expires -- in this sad event, you still get back a consolation prize equal to a given percentage of your original stake.

To combat the bot situation prevalent on certain other chain game sites, there is a strong Captcha. The game also shows who the planet has been reserved by.

You can optionally enter an email address if you'd like a notification when someone else sponsors your planet or it expires.

As ever I'm easy to get in touch with and will be monitoring closely, so DO shout me if you have any problems.

If I send an amount of EAC to the generated address, how does the system knows that I, myself, am the one who sent the EAC and not another guy?

Is there a link between the sender's identity and the generated address? I know for instance that I could create more receiving addresses from my wallet. Would these addresses work too?

When you sign up to sponsor a planet you sign it by entering your EAC address, the planet will then be reserved for that exact address, where the sales profit will be sent to as well.

Seems like some planet get's sold twice which leaves one of the sponsors payment left in the system. But besides that, everything works perfect.

you didn't answer my question. Basically, anyone could send to the generated address right? Let's say I have two wallets.

Wallet A reserves the planet with its receiving address. I take the generated address (where you are supposed to send your coins) and give it to another guy (Wallet B).

Wallet B (the other guy) pays the exact required amount to the generated address which was given by wallet A. Would wallet A get paid at the end?

 

I'll leave JohnnyBravo at answering that question, since he's the owner and creator of the site. But logic tells me that Wallet A would get paid in your scenario.

I just started, looks fun... wont say what planet I currently own.

I'm trying to track the history, figuring out the risk curve... obviously the higher the price the greater risk / reward...

It would appear that Sponsoring planets for under 100k appears to be the sweet spot... once the sponsor price gets to 150k - 200k then its a bit risky... have any planets exceeded 300k yet?

at the start yes i think. Altho last round planets were not even sold at around 20-30k i think? Or did they just get pickedup up very late? Anyhow, that was probably bcs people didn't play because of NY

if you have less than 50k take plantets for 20% for example freddy or  Cartman or Venus another planets are for people with loot of eacs

So Freddie / Cartman / Venus = lowerprice smaller payout... and probably a lower over all risk.

Pluto appears in the middle medium risk, medium reward.

Mars is higher reward with medium high risk.

Saturn appears to be the real High Risk / High Reward planet.  I can see this hitting 1M EAC.


What I find interesting is the high volume even at these prices... 23 hours on several planets, 20+ on the others.

Perhaps I'll buy 2 planets and hedge my bets  ;D

You have only had the planet for 1 hour.  It will get sold...

Price is still low on the planets and there is a lot of activity.

If you didn't have all your coins in 1 planet I would recommend buying another, since from what I see often when someone sells a planet they hop into another, so having 2 could be a good deal.

There are other factors to consider... today is a higher volume day since many have the day off...

Holidays, weekends are best.  I'd assume pretty good volume between now and Sunday.

Yeah, If you are wondering if you should get in I think the prices are approaching the sweet spot where you get good reward and have a very good chance of selling your planet.

If you are nervous and you planet isn't selling you can do what others have done and offer a few thousand EAC for someone to buy your planet.

Yeah.  I lost some on Venus yesterday, but more than made up for it this morning when they reset.

Dozens of transactions today and lots of EAC won!  Still 20+ hours on most planets (all are over 18h)... relatively low risk for nice reward.  All planets a good buy the way this game has been playing out IMHO.

Yeah, i have a planet that i could barley buy into only to get a buy in then it stop cold to.  Ill have to admit it seems a bit odd as well. I will see if i actually get my notification email when it expires as i could have sworn my buying was suppose to be a stage/price point before what i had to send to them... and there is no way of knowing if you are the one who got the planet unless you filled your name in, no confirmation trans ids that i can see.

So I'm curious how the actual price locking takes place.  I haven't played the game as of yet but I just watched a planet reset and it essentially continuously says payment received but I never see the sponsor a planet message again.  The price is clearly rising fast, so people must be sponsoring the planet.   What I'm unclear on is how would you know what your sponsor price is if five people all submit their sponsor request at the same time?

But if the price is changing constantly when you send in your sponsorship how do you know what you have agreed to?  You can't refresh the screen every second or else you will need to put in the sponsorship information again.  I guess I don't see how you would know what you are committing to.  I must be missing something.

You can refresh each time, and put information etc, fast becouse more people try to get planet, now for example try to take freedy mercury for 16k eac is a good price, now i have 10k and don't can't take planet

Well I have to say sponsoring a planet is quite frustrating.  I waited for a planet to expire and placed my bid so-to-speak.  All I get is non-stop messages that I didn't select a planet even though I very clearly do.  I did manage to get it to go through once but by then the planet was awaiting payment.

I've got a suggestion that may make this a little easier for people.  How about allowing people to queue up their sponsorship's when a planet expires.  Then essentially you would go down the list of those in the queue (first come first served) and send them an email with the current sponsor price.  If you receive payment by that person in the allotted time they get the planet and the next email is sent out with the new sponsorship price, etc.

I imagine it take awhile to get through the whole queue but it sure beats having to refresh the screen constantly and type in the new code to prevent bots a hundred times.  :)  Just a thought to reduce the frustration level.

Yeah i had sponsored a planet for around ~15000 EAC and never received and emails from the email i registered after expired. It was so buggy when i bought i am not sure if i actually bought it or just "gave" him my eac lol....... and no response from the support email.  I do not know if i have any faith in this games accuracey.

Speaking strictly for myself.  I had two planets when the game hung up and I did receive all my EAC back.  I did not lose a single EAC even though the game locked up.  In fact, I received a profit on the planets I held.  Now I did send an email to the support email address on the game site and did not hear back from them.  However, as far as the EAC went, I have nothing to complain about.

Edit:  I did get an email back from them after they got things running again.  It just took them a day to get through all the emails they were getting.

I did not write the address with any error, I copy pasted it :S and I didn't receive anything back. This page is a SCAM, use it at your own risk. Otherwise, developer please, check it out and refund my coins and I'll edit and retire the accusations.

:) First we all did hit F5 hundered of times, but if you get experienced you will see that most of the times you can sponsor it at 24:58:00 or 57:00 and rarely 56:00 and so on. The rest is on speed really. ;)

I sent Gaia some EAC to buy Cartman earlier, out of my coinex account. There was some sort of issue on their end and the payment was too slow, so I didn't get the sponsorship credit.
I figured my money was gone forever, but a couple hours after sending an email to customer service I received a reply verifying my payment address for the refund. After replying back, they promptly sent me the full amount.
It's nice to know there are still some honest people out there.

I found the captchas too hard to break. May be thats putting off the people, I think

The buildup after a planet expires seems to be where the most "fun" is but that is also the time when the current interface design breaks down.  I've described it as a speed typing test while looking through blurry goggles since you have to type fast while trying to figure out the blurry captchas so I've stopped playing it.

I did send a request to the dev's about making a queue so multiple people can express an interest in sponsoring a planet and then the program would cycle through the queue telling each person in turn how much to send.  If someone fails to send the EAC in the allotted time they are removed from the queue.  They said they would look into it but I don't know if something like a queue would ever be added.

In the mean time, I've stopped playing this game because I find the interface as it is currently implemented to be very frustrating.

I totally agree with you. I have send a petition about captcha. As long as it is not fixed I will not playing it. Sry :(
